You get a star for your post.  I wish I could give an extra several thousand stars for just the first paragraph.

One time I was driving to work and I got hit with a massive attack of IBS and there was a Burger King to the left of the road so I swerved across 4 lanes at speed and right over a curb-height divider I didn’t register was there. I was in a heavily used 10 year old Corolla at the time. It incurred zero damage.

Jesus, I didn’t even know this was a thing? What kind of monstrously stupid person thought this up???
Why do you even need to hack it?? Just get a similar size and style digital display and make your own!

Why does this even exist to begin with? What problem is a digital licence plate solving? How often would you change the plate on a car anyway? I know the plate doesn’t stick with the car in the US like it does here in Europe, but unless you’re moving to a different state, it doesn’t change unless you get a custom

That’s Waymo than I would put up with.

The only response needed, honestly.

In all honesty, this comes back to the fundamental question: what is the point of a digital licence plate if it’s not for this sort of nonsense? It’s more expensive than stamped aluminium, requires power, can fail, and can be tampered with in an occluded manner. Who, other than people looking to commit moving

Meh, I hate to defend our robotic future, but I live in a town that’s lousy with Waymos and they’re...good drivers? First they had people in them, but now I see 2 or 3 a day zipping around on their own. They’re doing well! They keep up with traffic, wait their turn at 4-way stop signs and seem better if no worse than

um... this speaks volumes.

I’m out on the street, that’s where we were supposed to meet.

Your Waymo will find a way, just give it time

Still the most amazing dipshits driving these things around.

Ah, see, it obviously engaged the Yakety_Sax.exe subroutine

It wants your looooOOOOO-oooooo-OOOOO-oooo-OOOOVE!!!

In truth, the real one doesn’t do much more.

Is it bulletproof?  Can I use it as a target for practice with my concealed carry?

I guess since Cybertruck sales have stalled they have to keep making money somehow. Might as well try to grift the folks you already successfully grifted.

This is all the CyberTruck should’ve ever been.
