The new, full name will never be uttered by me lol.

I’m just glad that Aldean is honest enough to admit that paranoia, ignorance, and a propensity for violence are “small town values.”

Now playing

Be a man and use a blade. If you can’t look them in the eye while you kill them you shouldn’t be killing them at all!

Jason grew up in a town with a QUARTER MILLION people in it. Not quite the small town guy he pretends to be...

I believe Wheeler Walker, Jr. calls says that modern pop country is just country singing over rap beats.  So this checks out.

You call it “National” so howdy neighbor of a similar age!

This fucking twat made as song that references getting a gun from his grandpa and then immediately says “they say one day they’re gonna try to round up”, performs it in front of a notorious lynching site, and then plays dumb and cries innocent when he’s called out. Fuck this nonce and his barely-veiled call to

i see no lies

And he’s not even original!  All his songs are covers of someone else.  Amarillo Sky, Dirt Road Anthem, Tennessee River, Much Too Young...

JFC.

This is as insufferable as the countless evenings I spent listening to country guys and city guys trying to out-badass each other, usually involving some girl was “dating out of her group.”

A fucking singing hat. He knows exactly what the courthouse thing meant.  That's why they hire location scouts.  He, his moronic wife, and the singing mullet should all get swallowed up by the earth.

That is the central problem I have with ‘country music’. It’s fake. This is an urbanized country and the vast, vast majority live in dense suburbs or cities. Why are people listening to music that pines for an imaginary life that doesn’t exist?

“Got a gun that my granddad gave me / They say one day they’re gonna round up / Well, that shit might fly in the city, good luck / Try that in a small town / See how far ya make it down the road / You cross that line, it won’t take long / For you to find out, I recommend you don’t / Try that in a small town.”

Oh look, another private schooled rich kid cosplayin’ as a Redneck.

I grew up in a rural area. None of these assholes would last one day in a major city.

It’s a feature not a bug at this point.

Jason just has misty-eyed memories of how it used to be in the ‘good old days’, when the white Christian nationalists were on top, the ‘browns’ knew their place and knew not to come around, the LGBTQs where scared into the closet or worse. The police was your cousin’s husband’s uncle and poured out your beer on the

Jason Aldean is a dumb redneck piece of shit and he made a dumb redneck piece of shit song.  I dunno man, I gotta pick my battles and he doesn’t rate one.

“‘Try That In a Small Town,’ for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences.”

I “Harbor Freight” every new tool I can. I buy it first at Harbor Freight and if I use it enough to the point that it wears down, I’ll go buy a nicer one from Home Depot/Lowe’s.
