“ but rather than slamming on the brakes”
I think the video submitter is correct that many drivers would correctly judge, as the car did, that there was plenty of time and clearance for both car and pedestrian. This was NOT a panic brake moment, as the car judged the velocity of the human. Your article alleges “without evidence” as the kids say these days,…
Yeah but on the flip side, this is Jalopnik. Any time there are politics involved, rights of opinion/speech only apply to 1 side of the argument. Everyone else is racist / bigot / supremacist / bad because they share the other opinion.
Is Jalopnik about cars or politics? The guy still has a right to not disagree with what other people say (I think?).
Where is this land of milk-and-honey, with junkyards that have cars placed on a paved surface that is so smooth that someone can drive around sideways without worry of flipping over or destroying a wheel or tire?
Father of 4 here. Spontaneous Triplets yo. It happens. A minivan is the only way to go. I’m sorry. Yes, it makes you very uncool. Suck it up. Own it. Put a Nine Inch Nails sticker on your back window for the irony.

Updooted for “The teenager and the moustache.”
yea.. but that mclaren F1 GTR 3/4th of the way through the video was the real interesting bit.. clearly someone in the company is a real gearhead. that was too specific of a car to include.
I find there to be a slight irony in the fact that you agree about the C5 being a “blobby mess” and you DON’T think that an FD bears a strong resemblance to a C5.
I respectfully disagree with your assertion.
C5's are also cheap these days. They have pop up headlights and a transaxle for better balance. If you’re good with tools and have an eye for color, you can do some amazing things with a 17 year old Corvette.
Looks fine to me.
