There is a charging plug standard, called Combo CCS. Everyone except Tesla is using it. (Except some Asian brands like Nissan that use CHAdeMO)

Really good to be honest. They have very narrow tires that dig into the snow, a low center of gravity, and probably the best traction control system I have experienced in a car (since the motor is electric, it can adjust to demand in a fraction of a second, much quicker than an ICE can).

That front looks A LOT like the BMW 8-series

From what I’ve read, you are probably 100% correct when it comes to charging in the US, however I recently did a longer drive (about 1000 miles) with a non-Tesla EV in Norway, and that was no problem at all. Public fast chargers can be found at most places, usually nearby a shopping mall, café or even at gas stations.

In the last decade or so I have had an E39 5-series which was excellent. One of the most comfortable cars I’ve driven, and still managed to be fairly sporty for its size.
Then I had an E90 3-series, which was quite sporty and very fun to drive. The steering was especially great.
Then I had an F20 1-series which was fun

Not sure if you get them in your country, but Peugeot/Renault/Citroen makes small vans that easily takes a pallet or two in the back, and would probably carry a motorcycle inside without much issue. They can be had with awd as well, and can be had for dirt cheap, even new. The biggest downside is they are usually 3

Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude

I drive a BMW and I don’t live up to the stereotype (I actually try to drive with courtesy of others on the road). I even have indicators fitted to my car, and use them regularly. Yet, that made me laugh! Have a star.

It’s absolutely possible to design a modern car that passes crash tests without B pillars (look at the i3), but I doubt it can be done as an afterthought on an existing model.

Am I the only one thinking that newer Porsche models look like the last Saabs from behind?

Good point

Imho, Musk has out-dicked Stark. I don’t remember Tony Stark donating money to people wanting to imprison children of immigrants, or climate change deniers.

Tesla is 15 years old and has multiple factories and billions in revenue. In no way can they be called a startup any more.

My guess would be forced induction

That number seems off by at least an order of magnitude

“There are a lot of people that have shorted Tesla stock.”
I have seen this being claimed repeatedly, every time there is a Tesla article, but I have yet to see any proof of this.

And for those who haven’t seen Kung Fury (the movie the song is made for), DO IT NOW

When I saw the title my first thought was that the person asking was David Tracy

Would it be possible (legal) to get one of these and one of the original Jeeps and then basically swap over everything except the frame (keeping the frame number)?

Tesla summed up the power all of the motors could theoretically produce, but then the battery and electrical system in the car wasn’t able to deliver enough electricity to have the motors actually produce that power.
