Yeah, which is why I just kissed that speed and immediately backed down. Couldn’t imagine trying to do that sustained, and not around other cars. The level of concentration needed is very fatiguing, so to me the Veyron and Agera drivers are heros.

I recently did 264 kph on the autobahn on a clear three lane stretch, and that was nuts. If you’re going any considerable speed when there’s traffic in the right lane, even a single car, you better be hyper aware of what’s going on.

Those are nice trucks. I had a 2004 Silverado extended cab 4x4 with just the 5.3L. Did you ever get dyno numbers? I know those blocks punched out to near max can make silly power for the money spent.
I may have been unclear - the SBC was in production for a long time, from 1954 to sometime in the early 90s for cars and unti 2003 for trucks. I was just trying to convey that the SBC had a really long run.
