Very true. The only concern I could possibly have is that the LS series didn’t have the really long run that the original small block Chevy did. But, the last one was put in a car sometime around 1991, and you can still get parts.

Well, I’m using my experience, and she’s not just some old lady, damnit, she’s my MIL. Using her as an example as to how nearly all Japanese treat their cars well.

I’d also guess if you’re swapping it into a new car and you want to keep it Cali compliant. AFAIK you can’t legally swap an older engine into a newer vehicle. I know folks do it, even swap in truck blocks, but it’s not technically allowed, they just get away with it.

Heh - I meant the new LTs, not the C4 Corvette ones! >_<

Nope. You don’t know Japanese enthusiasts, then. Lived there for 9 years.

I know they have them for direct replacements, I personally have not seen them put into cars that didn’t have them originally. Would be cool to see one in a Flyin’ Miata.

I’m fortunate that my kids are 20 and 17. Recent fun times when I managed to get the Vette up to 254 kph on the autobahn with the top down and my son in the passenger seat on the way to the Nurburgring.

Has anyone yet done an LT* swap?

Ford 7.3l diesel trucks are very sought after in the used truck market. Last of the no emissions controls diesels and earned the bulletproof reputation.

Did that account quit posting?

Before I got my current car, I was seriously looking at a gen 1 Raptor.

I think the actress on the bottom pic is prettier, but Elizabeth Shue was much better for the role.

I’m a Chevy/Vette guy, and I’m fairly amazed at the performance/value proposition of Mustangs. And now the 5.0s have more power than my car.

No joke with regards to the Demon articles.

Well that’s fortunate. I remember reading that during the development of the C5 GM was seriously considering axing it, and would have but the team managed to develop it really inexpensively.

So is it OK to watch Jason’s videos now? I quit watching after the Acura shill videos with the effusive praise. Just lost my enthusiasm for his channel after that.

My C6 GS is pretty much my dream car. I have a 125k mile 4-Runner for crap weather duties, why woudn’t I run that one?

That last line made me chuckle with its obviousness.
