Figured that’s what the scoop was for. But drag racers run cars that have no rads and filled coolant passages in the engine block, so I was curious.

Was anyone else reminded of this?

Is the rad in the back?

Well, rephrase to how will they do 10K miles?

NICE.

Was this their range extender?

To me, it’s a Miata done right for daily driving. Enough torque to be satisfying and sound dampening so it’s not so loud at freeway speeds.

Yeah, I had the speedo at 155+ exactly once. Not to worry, it was on an empty, unrestricted strip of the Autobahn. Insane but planted was how it felt.

Heh, given the cost/complexity, it would either be better to just get a SL55/65 or just do a whole car swap for an LS-equipped Vette. ;-)

I know, right! *supercharged V6 fistbump*

Steve Jobs - case in point. Demanding? He makes Elon look chillax, but look at what he did for Apple.

I dunno, my SLK32 handles as well as, if not better than, my son’s NA. Haven’t thrown either on a track and I’m no Andretti, but they’re both great in the real world.

So you’re saying I should probably hold onto my 2002 SLK32 then.

Danke, but I didn’t quite fathom how controversial my comment would be. I just remembered when some passengers were stuck on a plane for EIGHT hours congress wanted to introduce a law, and the industry promised it would do better.

So would you recommend something like a diesel F-250 4x4 over the Raptor? It would be a bit worse off-roading, but seems better suited for most real-world use.

Was that Marc Marquez wearing the God Bless ‘Murica Alpinestars?

*sigh* And the name is Spanish - “Transmisiones y Equipos Mecanicos SA de CV”. Looked it up on Wikipedia, even it’s corporate parent is Mexican. TIL.

That’s honestly most unfortunate. I want manuals to live forever inasmuchas we have cars that aren’t fully driverless.

What I don’t get is the Euro resistance to American Tremec offerings. If it’s the best, why not?!?

If a worse transmission had been developed by ZF but held the power, BMW would not be singing this tune.
