I had to pause the show to laugh at this point. She's trying so hard, you guy! A for effort, Margaery.

Well, that just made my day. Thanks.

Better than any of the wedding clips from GoT. ;)

Also to be fair, in the book right after he explains it's a metaphor, she gives him the biggest -___- face.

I'm going to be the annoying person who likes the book and says it's a good book. Although yes, taken out of the overall story Augustus' dreamy boy quirks can come off as ... yeah. Still like the book a whole lot.

I thought the same thing. Just ... just don't do it.

I didn't watch the awards, so I honestly thought that was Jezebel making a joke. Because you know, using that song is the stupidest idea I've heard all day.

A twitter acquaintance of mine sent me this video this morning and I can't stop laughing.

The UK version also did a lot less wacky editing. No dramatic music cues and the narrator was Ramsey himself, who spoke softly for his VOs. Here in the States the BBCA actually has both shows on their schedule back to back, so the differences between them are really clear when you put the channel on for a couple hours.

Times like this I'm reminded of the Friends episode where Joey has kidney stones and the doctor tells him that either he pushes them out or they put a tube up his urethra and Joey goes, "Whoa whoa, nothing is going up. Up is not an option ... what's a urethra?" and Rachel whispers to him, only to have Joey look

This just got posted today and I thought it was so freaking perfect for this comment section that I had to share.

Yeah, you might want to look at the web address for this article.

I can tell you that I didn't have sex or do much of anything sexual with boys until college, but I still made some pretty dumb choices for dating guys in college. Waiting doesn't mean your choices in sexual partners won't come to bite you in the ass (figuratively, hopefully). So yeah, definitely focus more on the idea

Of course it's okay to want your kids to make good choices. The problem with a lot of the abstinence-focused parenting is that it focuses on shaming girls for even thinking about having sex. They talk about how you as a woman will be soiled, tainted by losing your virginity. That you will be worth less because you had

The emotional thing kills me. Because when I talk about feminist issues, I often get mad. I get downright pissed and I'm to a point in my life where I'm tired of pulling back my anger when I have something to be angry about. But it's so easy for my words to be dismissed as "angry feminist" or "over emotional

I want to hug McKay so hard right now. SO HARD.

I read the summary for Family Man and had to laugh when you didn't include that other detail about the comic's world. But perhaps it counts as a spoiler? Let's just say that not all is what it seems in that story ... it's a very good read that I need to catch up on.

I would also highly recommend watching the Atop the 4th Wall video reviews of the comics. They do the voice pretty well and it adds to the utter insanity that is the narrative.
