Others have pointed out that what they were doing was not in the rules, but even if they WERE ... why would their cameraman on the scene lie about it if it WAS legal?

I love how dark this joke is, considering what had happened in the canon at this point.
If I’m remembering the book right, he didn’t know she was listening and he definitely didn’t say it because he thought that making her feel bad would help get him into her pants. So it’s not so much negging the way PUAs do it (to manipulate women) as just being an elitist jerk saying a shitty thing to his friend in…
My boyfriend drove me to work the other day and we've talked about how the book (and the movie) are going to be terrible and send terrible messages to women about abuse being romantic and how it plays into rape culture. And I mentioned right as we were pulling up to my office that it sucks how the other two books have…
And it really does feel like another "white guys have vague problems and that's important" story which would be fine if it wasn't yet another of those stories in a sea of other stories like that.
Excellent! I do think it's a super smart idea for them to do, adding atmosphere and helping keep fans' spirits up while they wait.
I know the line for the Hogwarts line can be mind-draggingly slow, but during the wait you're actually moving through the castle and the castle grounds. Not sure if they did the same thing for the new rides, but it did help the waiting to get to go through the greenhouses and stuff in the meanwhile.
I keep seeing commercials for this and saying out loud to no one "this is a TERRIBLE idea."
Honestly, I couldn't tell that you were being sarcastic (mostly or otherwise) because I hear that kind of derailing all the freaking time with these issues.
Ha. Funnily enough, I've heard people call being transgender "trendy." Um... if you knew how much time and finances and general "changing of your body" goes into it, you'd realize that the people going through that transition wouldn't be it just to be trendy. Or you know, to get to harass women in dressing room.
1. Since it's on her head, at least if she gets tired of it she can just grow out her hair and dye it a dark color.
Cute. Also let's ignore murders, too. White guys are still going to murder, right? Let's not even worry about it anymore.
Yeah, let's not get mad anytime this happens. It's not going to get fixed or anything, so let's just ignore all the bad things! Forever! That'll sure help things change!
I started laughing at him around the "I love women but they make everything bad" bit
It should probably be good to note than Western Culture has traditions and mindsets that are incredibly damaging to the LGBT people in their society as well. So while it's good to say "human rights trump tradition," that doesn't just apply to foreign cultures.
Anyone else find it hilarious they didn't include skin as a factor? Even though the perfect woman sure does look pretty darn white, even if some of her parts are from WOCs.
Nearly everything wrong with modern media wrapped up in one magazine page. Convenient, really!
You know that part in the new Arrested Development season where she cuts her hair and gets super vain about it ... the whole time I was thinking, "Oh my god her hair looks so good short." I don't know what that says about me.
Exactly. She was super polite in explaining why he shouldn't have used it and this would be a non issue if he had said "Oh crap, my bad" and taken it down.
I mean it's a little different because the musical isn't a vague story told multiple ways in different cultures (for instance, Disney chose to take from the French version of Cinderella rather than the German one, so some of the not-so-grotesque elements of the cartoon are because of the source). Into the Woods is a…
