Wow, my favorite one from the article is "I do not feel a daily unrelenting biological imperative to reproduce." Yes, we certainly want to have babies more than anything with anyone who is willing to put sperm in us. That's why the fight for affordable and easy-to-get birth control is a non-issue for all women in the

There is something AMAZING about men who see make-up as some big lie women use to trick them into finding women attractive who don't deserve affection when those same men are the ones who tell those same women they should make themselves look prettier for THEM. As the article says, CATCH 22, ASSHOLES. (I may have

Jesus, all they had to do was say "We overbooked the venue, so we have to cut you." Is our culture so sexist that a business thinks an email like this would fly without any backlash?

Also I wish I could remember where I saw it, but I found a few gifs of Matthew Lewis in some random post-Potter movie where he's kissing a girl and oh my gosh, he is a good-looking kisser. Like, hot damn Longbottom, you go kiss that girl.

Holy cow, that is precious! With the white belt and everything! Squeee!

Yeah, me too. Considering through this whole thing I've been saying that we should support the actresses who choose this of their own freewill while still acknowledging that the companies and industry in general tend to be really really problematic, I was kind of hoping this at least showed some of the higher ups in

I feel like Hathaway has gotten this weird reputation not because of anything she's done or said but because one too many internet people decided she was uppity or just didn't like her. Which is ridiculous because everything I've heard her say is well spoken or charming or both. But then again we as a culture are

A male commenter on another site tried to tell me yesterday that penises are just naturally unattractive while women's breasts and butts are naturally attractive because science. When I suggested that what we find attractive (and what we objectify) has much more to do with our culture rather than science, he acted

The only thing going through my mind right now:

It's cute how Juan Pablo has decided that pointing out someone's offensive behavior is actually disrespecting THEIR culture and is therefore wrong. Staying classy.

Although Cobie Smulders was in the pilot and she's still have CBS' HIMYM, although that show is winding down...

I THINK she's still on it, although a one episode guest star could still fit her schedule.

My first thought was actually Gina Torres.

She cut her hair off right after finishing Divergent because she's starring in the Fault in Our Stars movie next. Actually donated the hair to one of the "hair for cancer patients" charities, which was pretty cool of her.

But that's the thing ... most people don't THINK about the word being gender-weighted and yet they still tend to use it against women and men they think are acting effeminately. So whether or not it was a conscious choice of words doesn't matter to me - it's still messed up.

My tolerance for "hearing out the other side" goes down reaaaally quickly when they start throwing around gender-biased words like "hysterical" to describe the woman calling them out.

You know, the schadenfreude spirit in me is actually getting gleeful thinking about laughing at the bigots who will rant about this movie because haha, it's already been made and there's nothing you can do about it! *gets out popcorn*

Actually yeah, that would have been good. Of course I was watching Parks and Rec last night and it was an episode with Tammy 2 in it, so her penchant for horrible people is fresh in my mind.
