I couldn’t help but read the loading screen introduction in the magnificient voice of Civ's narrator. This is gold!

Evidently, the “r” is silent.

“Got your eyes!”

For those who prefer SoundHound over Shazam, this app has a great Spotify integration as well. I've set it up so that it automatically saves my tagged tracks to a Spotify playlist that I can later go through and categorize the songs into more specific playlists.

Thanks for the article, it definitely cleared up a few things for me, especially regarding performance issues. I’d like to share an alternative to full-on Windows virtualization. I’m a Mac-only user since 2009, and mostly I get by just fine. I don’t need Windows software for work or studies, and I don’t even use any

Apparently, there just doesn’t seem to be a significant market for those. If you think otherwise, though, you could make your debut as an app developer with such apps!

Fair enough. I guess you could upload to cyberlockers per email — there are services that let you do it —, which would make finding files a lot easier. This won’t get you around filesize limits, though.

As a small contribution to the general wellbeing of the email world, here are my top three email annoyances (that I can think of at the moment):

If you log in with a Microsoft account, some of these things should happen automatically. I think.

Think of it as a Safari feature, not an iOS feature. It’s only coming to Chrome if Google builds it, and they could have done it way before Apple did. Google probably isn't going to do this, though, because that way they’d be eating at their own ad revenue.

Microsoft gives away free licenses of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 to all students worldwide over their Dreamspark program, as well as Visual Studio and other software for developers. These are the Industry Pro versions of Windows, but are supposed to be completely usable as your desktop OS. (If you want the Metro apps

The title is misleading; the article covers only carriers operating in the USA.

Spotify Connect is great. I have a 30-pin iPhone/iPod dock with decent sound on my nightstand. I usually keep my 4th gen iPod touch plugged in there, and when I’m working at my desk, I open Spotify on the iPod and control it from my iPhone. It’s a great alternative to buying an AirPlay or Bluetooth speaker.

AFAIK Origin doesn’t need to run in the background when playing a game. That's certainly an upside. Game installation, on the other hand, is quite cumbersome, with old-fashioned installers, CD keys and all that noise.

Here’s some good tips for taking care of a baby. #2 is about choosing the right babysitter.

In reality, it is used a euphemism for terms like "vulgar", "offensive" or "pornographic", and I'd prefer to know which one of these things to expect

This depends on what you write. If it's a story, maybe it's true, but maybe it's just King's personal preference, his own procedure, which may work for some but not for others. I haven't written fiction; however, I've written lengthy reports (in prose) to the organization which gives my workplace funding, and I have
