last I checked you can't have an external soundcard on an iDevice, its still going to process all of its music apps (ielectribe, etc) internally, so even if this worked as almost a dock and let you use the outputs on it, its still doing most of the work IN the iPad, unless maybe I misread? I do work with audio, or…

But the actual problem here is the DAC inside an ipad/iphone is shit compared to using a dedicated one on a pc/mac, so great you have inputs on a device that will make those inputs sound like crap.
