To quote, somewhat out of context, a line from (of all movies) Vanilla Sky:

This used to be a widespread practice a generation or so ago - certainly those in their 70s and older in the UK used to do it quite a lot - I know quite a few relatives who did that's for sure.

Let's see how long it takes pharmaceutical corporations to block the drug's development and testing. After all, 'treating' cancer is a multi-billion dollar industry - why change that? (Please, oh please, realise I'm being sarcastic here).

This sort of thing has been going on for a good few years in the UK - both for National Lottery and Euromillions (the latter being Europe-wide).

Now playing

Must've been a beast - could imagine it would have been rather deadly in actual combat back in the day. One of the few good pieces of Russian engineering - certainly far better than the unfortunate 658 (K-19).

A new lease on life after walking into a lake? I've heard of near-death experiences, but really. Unless she couldn't swim, which is fair enough.

This has been going on for a couple of years now to try to help alleviate the severe overcrowding problem of London transport. It's at least 5 years too late (will be around 10 by the time it's completed), and far more will need to be done in the near future. It has already been admitted by the likes of rail heads

The States can't even agree on stem cell use/research. Good luck ever getting this to come to pass.

"Addicting" is NOT a word. I believe you're looking for "Addictive".

That made me chuckle. Somehow I hope they do!

Imagine having to charge your bank card. Seriously, what a f***ing stupid idea.

I'd love to see real facts on the A5x being 4 x faster than tegra 3. I don't buy it for a second. Tegra 3 is faster than A5 - that's an undeniable fact. A5x is no way 4 times faster.

Pointless Apple rumour hype is pointless.

It's the same difference - funded by the corporation the user pays money to, directly or indirectly, for services rendered. Either way, that cash is coming from the users - it's hardly free, otherwise no business would take it on. Business is about profits, not free stuff.

All games are a 100% waste of time - fact. Doesn't mean they're not good though :-)

Everyone gets it for free - read: a certain amount of money they pay in tax. It'd be like saying we can all have Sky for free if we pay £50 extra per month in taxes.

If only they'd have made the video using footage from the 80s My Little Pony. Then this could've been at least vaguely bearable.

I see the "Android" radio button under the search bar disappearing very quickly.

False reporting is false. I ask for a retraction of the article or renaming of the title as it is a blatant lie. Nothing will come of me asking, I can guarantee it, but I have the right to ask.
