IIRC the Bechdel test was plucked from a cartoon and not designed to be an accurate test for diversity in movies. I’m sure there is a masters student working on a better evaluation, but the Bechdel test will remain popular because it is such a low bar.

You can’t just mention two things and call it a comparison. By his logic slavery is the same as cilantro because abolitionists thought slavery was terrible and I think cilantro is vile.

I honestly believe that anyone committing a sustained, socially repugnant crime like this should have their taxes checked. Willing to torture small children but not willing to cheat society in some other way with an even smaller likelyhood of being caught?

That makes sense, it’s a lot of pressure to use the heftiest painkiller you have. In vet med, we are always worried about which cost might be the one that tips a patient into “too expensive, just euthanize” so the pressure is more even.

My experience is vet tech, not human medicine but to me morphine seems like an odd choice for a first treatment for shoulder pain. Every doctor and hospital has their own preferences, of course, and maybe she's not mentioning the broken collar bone?

I’m sure the quack doctor just coincidentally had the same blood type as Sheen. Quack Doctor didn’t invent injecting Sheen with disease-free Doctor blood as a cover for the slight of hand switch necessary to inject all participants with their own blood.

I would bet it wasn’t only women that were uncomfortable — especially if there were some wives and girlfriends in the mix. Men who see this as stupid and ugly don’t have any better chance speaking up than a woman would — a betrayal of ‘bro culture’ can be career suicide.
