Same - exact same. I get the idea but the execution is so poor and the patience required to get to the endgame is immense.

If the Wilpons are using the Mets to finance their debt why the heck don’t they just sell the Mets and be done with it?
You see the phrase “Paying For Past Performance” come up in any conversation about free agency except the ones that are about how the market has come to a standstill.
I’ve come to the conclusion that to compete at an Olympic level in curling you have to have a level of focus that borders on insanity. How this is compatible with “politeness” is beyond me.
Again breaking the three ingredient rule but add some Fernet Branca to this and you’ll have what the now defunct Manhattan Inn rather unfortunately titled a Thunderdome.
Agreed. When that article on not liking new music came out I remembered listening to nothing but Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie for about 4 years straight and being unable to listen to them now.
The NFL assumes that there is always more demand for football and has positioned itself like a monopolist as a result.
I love watching people do on skates what I couldn’t do walking - that second goal was gorgeous.
I have a whole spotify playlist called “music to kick down doors to” aka what I listen to while I run so I can pretend I’m in an action movie montage? The best songs on it all build and build and have some crazy crashing end.
Can anyone here tell me a good reason for doing this? Anyone?
Wonder where college radio geeks like myself fall in here, or people who grew up sneering at MTV and pop radio?

Yes 1000x this. Someone, anyone mentions liking an album - I pop it on a “to be listened to” playlist. I get exposed to so many things I wouldn’t otherwise be exposed to, and on terms I can fully appreciate (i.e. isn’t a college radio station and I can actually download and hear while on the subway).
I joined a shuffleboard league last fall- real shuffleboard, not table shuffleboard.
I started a spending diet and an actual diet today, which is to say I’m using one to justify the other. Can’t eat out/buy beer/grab cookies with lunch both because it’s unhealthy AND because it costs money I need right now.

I remember the one time I tried to buy beer at a Pennsylvania gas station. The guy laughed and said I must not be from around there. Can’t imagine what he would have said if I’d asked where their liquor was.
