They’ve announced a Switch port for the Monster Hunter X/Generations “Ultimate” game, Monster Hunter Double Cross.

Western port of Monster Hunter XXS for mid/late 2017 is about the only thing I feel even slightly optimistic about.

I definitely appreciate that frigates are still viable (and even very fun) at all levels of the game. I have fond memories of strapping into a Maulus and joining a kamikaze swarm of similar ships to buzz a trio of sieged Dreadnoughts that were pounding on our Fortizar citadel, in order to buy a few precious seconds

“The Imperium.” Do people still use that name for Goonswarm? Huh.

Yeah, they got through it all together.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they debuted a handheld-oriented hardware configuration some time during the system’s lifespan. I know they committed to supporting the 3DS hardware, but the thing is pretty close to a natural EOL as it is and it only makes sense to unify their hardware lines completely.

It felt like a much better game than 1 in a lot of respects.

Just removing instakill QTEs, by itself, vastly reduced the frustration value inherent in it, at least. Although the story for 1 seemed better in some respects.

Do you want to spike the nationwide murder rate?

I’m pretty sure that if they put out a SNES Classic that included Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Mega Man X, FFIV and VI, and a nice selection of other games, every Gamestop in the country is going to look like a mini-Thunderdome.

Forget about Marshadow...

I did really, really hate the Vader figure.

Now if only Project Discovery rewards weren’t inexplicably subject to corp tax! Because they really, really shouldn’t be.

I mean, it’s not exactly unfair to expect their business partner to adhere to what should be the absolute bare minimum practices that should be expected from a digital marketplace of that sort.

Totalbiscuit’s description of the matter indicated that Gearbox really wasn’t aware that G2A was known for so many abusive practices.

I was watching the out-of-game comms for the Co2 ally corp I fly with while all this was going on. It kinda seemed like the surprise really jarred them; we had fleet commanders pinging for a reinforcement subcap fleet to form up, but the dust had already settled by the time we were able to get on the move.

It’s the format. 6v6 singles.

So, yeah, it’s the format and not the ruleset.

I’m not gonna be mad at Reigns over this one. I’m not a Reigns fan by any means, but I just can’t imagine that Taker would have no say in who would be his opponent for his retirement match.

Maybe it wasn’t his first choice and circumstances forced it to happen this way, maybe Vince bribed him to do it, who knows? But

You didn’t actually answer my question, though. I didn’t ask whether they were fun, I asked how the Smogon ruleset forces their use.

Really, their rules force you to use Stealth Rocks? Not, maybe, the fact that it’s an insanely powerful entry hazard whose effectiveness is magnified greatly in the switch-heavy playstyle of singles?
