Believe it or not some people, like me, haven't ever fallen for a gimmick on the net. Some of us are more careful than others.

Yep. I do IT security consulting and often conduct phishing tests. Even when red flags tell people not to do it I still get the occasional person who replies asking "is this real." Like a scammer would confess and admit it's fake. Unfortunately some people are just stupid.
Snake Eater is one of the best games I have ever played. I’ve been playing Metal Gear games since the NES. I found TPP to be lackluster. The prequel game serves to show off the game engine but is not really necessary otherwise. It sets the stage but TPP handles itself fine otherwise. Gameplay in TPP is fine. The story…
Agreed. Best Buy charges extremely more to install RAM. My rate for security consulting is $160/hr. This guy should be charging at least $40/hr.
This is me. With games like Horizon Zero Dawn and The Witcher 3, I did everything before the final act. Games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim weren't so lucky. They lost their flavor once that final main story quest line was done. These days, everything else is seldom finished and rarely does it feel like a proper send-off…
There’s no reversing the sales this gen. The Switch is gaining traction because anyone looking for a second console can’t justify a Xbox if they own a PS4 — and Sony has sold more units than Microsoft and Nintendo combined. A XBox owner might get a PS4 for a better game selection. But a PS4 owner has little use for a…
This is the dumbest thing I've read all day. A "ton?" You mean literally zero, right? Except that hacked port of God of War.
I got a chuckle out of this. They need to survive together because their combined share of console sales is 40% at best. From a business perspective I get their decision. But from a consumer standpoint I would prefer to see consoles cooperate for online games. I don’t play them but it makes sense that a game should…
The press conference was a reminder of why I despise EA. Talking about Battlefront reminded me of how bad the last two entries are. Talking about Anthem reminded me they killed one of my all-time favorite franchises (Mass Effect). Taking about the new Star Wars title reminded me of the Star Wars RPG they stopped…

This just highlights the difference between gamers over thirty and those under 25 or so. We persevered and felt a level of accomplishment after completing one of these games — especially the first, which was incredibly punishing. This, to me, just shows there are gamers who need their hand held. It’s not like these…
I spend my days doing penetration tests for banks and see hundreds of passwords every week. Some people use just plain stupid passwords. Others don’t realize how clever they really aren’t. Hashcat is a very easy tool to utilize and does a great job cracking hashes. It doesn’t matter what divinely-inspired method they…
I never had faith in Battlefront 2. As a fan I just don’t care about solo.
Eat the hell is wrong with people? Last week they’re losing their minds because of “cultural appropriation” and now this?
They likely have full time people doing this already but it didn’t hurt to incentive the public. Chances are there are hackers better than those employees at Google. This targeting those people to help fill gaps missed during internal testing.
Depends on how they’re going about it. I test networks for banks and charge anywhere from $1500-7000 depending on the scope. That translates to 4-40 hours of time for a penetration test. They’re calling it a bounty program. Sounds like the idea is they’re looking to get people to report over time as they stumble upon…
What’s sad is if you scroll just a little you find people who seem to be sympethizing with the guy.
Well ... Yeah. They want dominate control and the best way to get there is to create a superior product that developers optimize for. Would you prefer an inferior product? They make those too and you have that choice.
“Clear and present danger for gamers.”
Don’t worry. The dense public will undoubtedly find a way to blame the autonomous vehicle.
