I guess I had never seen this photo before. It totally made my day. :-p

I’m pretty sure this thread could just be Casablanca lines. ;-)

I think you might be a little biased. ;-)

Whoops, my bad! I missed the (-01) at the end of the product code. ><

Ugh, I can’t wait. Mine are both too young for interesting intellectual explorations (20 months). I did teach my son the word “vortex” the other day though. ;-)

I saw a lot of myself in that first letter. I was in a relationship with a girl for over four years (after we had dated previously for almost a year, broken up, then gotten back together a year later), but I had definitely checked out of that relationship before she had. After we broke up I was ready to date again only

Esmeralda had me covering my mouth and holding the laughs in. ;-)

That’s a good read. For me, it was a book called Lies My Teacher Told Me. The title sold it to teenage me. ;-)

Here’s a general question: is there a good alternative to Splinter out there? It wasn’t always the best and of course had their own biases, but I do miss it sometimes, and especially with Deadspin’s effective shutdown, I’d like some more reasonable politics blogging in my life. This is what happens when the primary concern of prosecutors is to get convictions, rather

That’s a really interesting idea that almost certainly is true.

In fact Yahoo DOES suck as a search engine. :-p

I’m pretty we are in negative numbers between my wife and me, but we have a pretty ideal situation where she gets reimbursed for work travel that more than offsets our personal use, and I have no car and bike to work. Also we’re driving a ten-year old used Prius we paid cash for and has had basically no problems.

I was listening to the podcast today and Mark Ean Jackson points this out; I hadn’t realized what a giveaway that should have been, and apparently Kirby Howell-Baptiste hadn’t either. :-p

The Rays left Judge crying after they handed the Yankees their first shutout of the season last night! #rayshype #alsothisstoryisverygood
