Yes but just wait and see how incrementally better the CGI is in Avatar 2: the Way of Water™️!

It’s astounding that what should be a simple table becomes buried in a swamp of words.

Maybe I’m tired, maybe I’m depressed, but this article felt completely incomprehensible. And I’m an MBA who works with data on the daily.

Lady Gaga is the one we need leading us in the streets, on horseback, as we overthrow our oppressors.

“Hi, this is your lawyer. The lawyer for Mr. Sudeikis sent some documents to sign over to my office, and we need signatures within 45 days. When can you fly to LA for the day to sign these? Or I can send a paralegal who can come to you.”

Forgot he was in that forgettable mess until right now. But felt the same when I saw him appear.

Same. I thought it was just some random guy, not Bill. Today my life changed.

I didn’t know “being a fucking asshole” was considered a fatal illness.

When life starts lampshading the lampshading.

This will likely be Hulu in the US and D+ internationally (kinda like The King’s Man and other less kid-friendly fare), right?

Yeah, I’ve felt this at times. It’s too well-written to feel on the same level as most TV shows, but it’s not quite *there* on the level of, like, Verhoeven’s best action satire (which it seems to be heavily influenced by, right down to Peacemaker’s Robocop-style gunplay in the opening credits).

Yeah. I’m no psychologist, but it seems like they took care to make his weird brand of thoughtful psychopathy consistent. It’s just a lot of fun.

‘Twas both, each racist in their own ways!

In an effort to avoid cultural appropriation, Disney is committed to casting an actor of Thai descent to play the Siamese cat. But don’t worry, the racist accent stays as a winking nod to the fans.

It’s a good show, and the third season (second season part 1?) had some good moments. But there aren’t the big laugh moments Futurama seemed to land consistently. And the pacing feels like they’re leaving a *bit* too much room for the joke to sink in. “You get it? Did you catch that? The joke we made?” It’s an

My in-laws were on a trip in 2019 when my father-in-law said he wasn’t feeling well. Mother-in-law told him to go rest. He took a nap and died from a heart attack in his sleep. Probably the best way to go if you have to go, but completely unexpected for the rest of us. Point is there’s a lot that can happen in a hotel

Could be a heart attack – my father in law died suddenly during a nap. Just went to sleep, never woke up.

Bitch my father is a history professor. I’ve spent my entire life learning the US history they don’t teach in class. The US hasn’t forced decolonization, it’s rebranded it. The US policies after Reagan’s presidency especially, but starting much earlier with those Dulles bastards, have caused intense suffering and pain

It was the first thing I thought about too. And many other commenters.

We guarantee peace? Tell that to Central Americans, whose governments were toppled by the US (and whose death squads were trained by the CIA). Or maybe tell that to, idk, Afghanis who were literally abandoned in the middle of the night like that Onion article.
