Interesting. I respect your opinion, though I think this show (and The Last O.G.) have way more dramatic potential than I originally expected.

Maybe I like it so much because I live in LA, and Californians are suckers for locally-set shows.

Binged the entire first season so far tonight. So good - Bill Hader might near Cranston-level chops if this thing can keep going.

We’re rewatching season 3, and I think the show would be helped if they got rid of her (since they can’t leave that weird brown face subplot alone). It’s not a funny enough arc to make up for how it feels ick.

But if you seceded, which I’d be fine with, those federal military bases wouldn’t be filled with soldiers, dummy. (Your comment quickly degenerated into nonsense, so I’ll just comment on the bases thing.)

II guess I didn’t see anything in the original post that would indicate it’s ironic instead of just sad.

Sure, if it’s actually funny. This seems more like saying “just kidding!” I’m grade school after an earnest comment is poorly received. But maybe I’m wrong?

Good grief it’s like you actually thought, “What would be the least appropriate comment for this article about Molly Ringwald coming to terms with John Hughes’ sometimes-gross treatment of femininity,” and then wrote that. You couldn’t take the extra half second to scan the article before commenting some

I’m worried there’s a secret Kim Davis type who’d decide to be offended.

But I knew this guy who clearly never flossed, and his teeth looked like someone had tried a DIY bathroom grout job and failed miserably. It was gross. (That guy’s gross teeth aside, the gum loss hypothesis is interesting.)

Open workspaces and HR, man.

That’s what I mean though. “You could fuck up your mouth” isn’t detailed at all. It’s just “scary.” Maybe cite examples of how people have “fucked up their mouths”? Am I looking at a snaggle tooth, teeth falling out, infections...? No one “warning” us about this is using any examples, just fearmongering.

I’m a copywriter working in tech, so this actually does kinda relate to my job. My office doesn’t care what I’m reading unless it has something that HR could get snippy about. Most workplaces are like this.

Remember when Lifehacker didn’t have NsFW language in its headlines, big and bold for the office to see? I do.

Or personal data it can mine from users using it.

The “I think I’m cooler/nicer/more attractive than I am” voice? After rewatching that, it’s amazing how they nailed the neckbeard/niceguy persona decades early.

I’m disappointed they didn’t go with how I picture Thanos, which is the education of him from the Silver Surfer cartoon:

My favorite part about the video was the clear lack of self awareness. “We have the right to protest and should be protected as we harass this one guy we picked. But this guy who’s butchering an animal in the shop space he pays for? THAT’S DELIBERATELY ATTACKING US!”

I imagine the dialogue would be similarly full of

They still have those donuts, just not branded as simpsons.

Yeah that’s the one!

Don’t forget Bender’s line in “why must I be a crustacean in love?”
