As a service dog handler I’m disappointed in this article. I already have enough to deal with having several disabilities, but then everywhere I go I have at least a handful of people asking me questions or if they can pet him. A couple minutes really adds up.

Verbally engaging a service dog is also bad. It distracts them from commands. Service dogs are not babies, they are necessary medical equipment. Service dogs can not be protectors or in any way aggressive.

As a service dog handler, I endorse this message!
