This is very encouraging! I’ve been saying I’ll never get pregnant again after this experience and my OB was like “every pregnancy is different!” Which I totally side-eyed, but I'm glad to know it can be true!

Natural options aren't as effective and don't last as long as DEET. There have been numerous studies and DEET is safe for pregnancy. I'm all about evidence based interventions but thank you.

I'm in California so we don't have any detected outbreaks here but I don't really have much confidence in that. We have both types of the mosquitos that transmit Zika here and lots of international travel. Ugh. It's scary.

33 weeks pregnant over here and I’ve already been bathing myself in DEET, trying to avoid outdoor activities and staying in air conditioning. Every week a new story comes out that just shows there is so much they don’t know. Sadly I think we will see outbreaks detected after the fact, once afflicted babies are born.
