“Beebo the God of War” ep9 season 3, Legends of Tomorrow.
As a Rogue fan, I have spent decades now trying to explain to non-fans why I love the character and no, that Fox movie version is nothing at all like what she is in the comics. And it is just SO REFRESHING to have such a wonderful take on her character. I am loving what this show has done for her so far.
I agree. It gets points for a much better team lineup as well. But other than that shortlived show, “best X-Men adaptation is a pretty low bar to cross.
Wolverine and the X-Men was a really good adaptation that juggled a ton of characters and aimed for big stories. It’s a real shame it got cancelled after only one season, was really looking forward to Age of Apocalypse being adapted. And that show also gives me pause on naming a best ever adaptation this early.
In the trailer she boasts “I can be any woman” while looking the same in all her spy IDs. You, ma’am, are no Elizabeth Jennings!
The movie Old School came on the other day and I mentioned to my wife, “I loved Ellen Pompeo in this movie when it came out and then she just went and did 20 years of Grey’s Anatomy and nothing else.” I thought I was joking, but just looking at her IMDB... she only has 8 credits between Old School in 2003 and…
Same. And I watched a LOT of network TV in 2004. The fact that this show premiered around the same time as Desperate Housewives is astounding. There was a passing joke on the OC that Summer’s dad was leaving the OC to move to Seattle to work at a “delightfully quirky” hospital. That was the last time I thought about…
Maybe it’s just me, but I actually think Derek’s death revitalized the show. It was feeling stale and wheel-spinny to me and then Meredith was dealt this huge blow and had to reevaluate her life.
I don’t know who you mean by “Carl.” Are you talking about Rick’s son, Coral?
Any list that puts Agents of Shield as worse than Echo has zero credibility.
Loved She-Hulk, but as anyone who says this, I guess, I was a huge fan of Byrne’s She-Hulk run in the 80s, and this show captured it well in a modern setting. Maslany was just a big bonus.
I liked the first season of The Gifted pretty well, although I admit I didn’t keep with it when it was canceled/Fox Buyout so maybe…
It’s kind of like asking when do you get your inheritance right after a parent dies. Your parent is dead so you can’t stop them being dead, and asking when do you get your inheritance really has no physical impact. But it’s just rude and selfish to ask. Especially because you’re not necessarily entitled to an…
I would watch an entire season of Dancing With The Stars if the entire slate of celebrities were the cast of Veep - in character.
I maintain that the first half of season 2 is still one of the best things Marvel has put on TV. And season 4 might be the most fun Marvel TV has ever been.
I will take this opportunity to say, if you have not watched AoS, watch it!
I hesitate to call this article wrong, even though there’s lots of wrong things in it, simply because it barely seems to have even half a thesis. The point seems to be that Marvel isn’t connecting the movies to the shows (except for several examples noted and others ignored), and that this is a bad thing. There’s a…
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D really became its own thing after season two. I’m still shocked that it lasted seven seasons and 136 episodes which is more than all the Disney+ Marvel shows combined. The Netflix Marvel shows had 161 episodes.
He was absolutely a threat in the cartoon: Thrawn was winning, he would have crushed the nascent Rebellion, until Ezra pulled space whales out of his ass. He’s the only baddie in all 4 seasons that was really a threat to the Ghost crew.
