I’d go for the peanut butter bars myself.

There are parts of my job that unilaterally I stopped doing that I consider of little consequence yet could expose me COVID (and certainly go against the official social distancing policies). That fact that these tasks continued to be asked of us during a global pandemic make it clear to me early that my employer

Except she can do all sorts of promoting that doesn’t involve doing interviews during the tournament.

Absolutely smart. They know it’s to their benefit to have a vaccinated workforce.

I’d add (not sure if it should be 2(a) or 3.)

I didn’t notice the date of the comment - just the article date. That makes much more sense. I hate when they update an article rather than posting a new one and one of the many reasons I comment so infrequently these days. Glad you will soon be fully vaccinated.

I suspect private businesses could choose to require masks forever because they are private. However,  customer pressures will likely have it lifted except in places like hospitals who may keep it.

May I ask what state you’re in that you can’t get vaccinated now (if you’re following the CDC i assume you are in the US)? I was under the impression nearly everyone in the US can get vaccinated quickly at this point.

I’ve been fascinante by all the van life youtube videos since before Nomadland - from the #vanlife instagram youths with their pretty, very expensive conversions to the no build minivan forced early retirees living like those Nomadland to everything in between. I tend to dislike schoolies (converted school buses) and

Staten Island, gotta be. Checks out.

Thank you.

I rotated my kitchen and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. It’s a house from the 30s and went from the original small U shaped kitchen with the sink overlooking the window to a small galley kitchen. Where I could fit a dishwasher!

I’m with you. My general not wanting to be around people has multiplied by about a million now that their breathing can kill me. I need about 20 hours of alone time to recover from one trip in an elevator or one having to go into a room with poor ventilation where someone didn’t have a mask on until I walked in so

Those vaccinated should continue to physically distance and wear a mask because they do not yet know if the vaccine only protects one from getting seriously ill or if it actually helps prevent one from catching COVID.

At my hospital they have them for providers giving direct patient care but they are still expected to wear the same mask all week. Similarly, those of us not providing direct patient care are given surgical masks these days but we wear them for a week.

I agree that a big underlying cause is the fact that public universities aren’t getting subsidized to the extent they used to forcing students who would have been able to in the past pay as they went or taken on a small amount of student debt, taking out much larger amounts.

I’m sorry but fuck that Sorkin “America used to be great” when we “acted like men” and revered great (white) men bullshit speech. While he’s not wrong about America not being the greatest nation on earth, the rest is nostalgia for a time when women and black people knew their place and the law kept them there. Our

It (or perhaps a future payment) could be tied to 2020 income as people will be able to file their taxes soon. I’d rather see $3000 payments to someone who made less then $40,000 last year than $2000 to to those making $75,000. Or $6000 to those only making $25,ooo.
