I agree. Somebody had an old Chrysler Newport - with an 8 track player! in the days of CDs - and we would fit half the floor in that thing going out for the night. We’d all have to get out before going over the railroad tracks or it would bottom out. Maybe not 20  but certainly a dozen.

Maybe a decade ago, you could go to the supermarket and refill gallon with filtered water containers cheap. One could certainly setup something where you reuse your containers. There would not only be less plastic but also less bottling and transportation costs/energy used. It just not as convenient or profitable.

No indication from the film that they do. Just that they both know Cruella and she sent them both puppies.

What if my strong opinion is that the Deadpool movies are fucking hilarious?  Like laugh so much I couldn’t breath at times funny. I also had the same reaction to the first season of Always Sunny.

Wink’s turn as a giant rat was my favorite part of the movie. That and the costumes. Plus it was a good excuse to have dinner and a movie with three generations of my family. It was the first time I really hung out with my nieces in a year.

There are parts of my job that unilaterally I stopped doing that I consider of little consequence yet could expose me COVID (and certainly go against the official social distancing policies). That fact that these tasks continued to be asked of us during a global pandemic make it clear to me early that my employer Read more

It’s Disney so like all big studios it’s primarily about making money but there were enough references to the original they weren’t rejecting it. But I like the idea of an alternative Roald Dahl-ish version.

While I agree at time the plot was a unfocused I thought the storytelling was fine. It’s a Disney film trying to make it fun for the whole family and having watched it with three generations last night, I think they succeeded. The acting was solid, the costumes were excellent and it was a fun movie. Read more

Absolutely smart. They know it’s to their benefit to have a vaccinated workforce.

I didn’t notice the date of the comment - just the article date. That makes much more sense. I hate when they update an article rather than posting a new one and one of the many reasons I comment so infrequently these days. Glad you will soon be fully vaccinated.

I suspect private businesses could choose to require masks forever because they are private. However,  customer pressures will likely have it lifted except in places like hospitals who may keep it.

May I ask what state you’re in that you can’t get vaccinated now (if you’re following the CDC i assume you are in the US)? I was under the impression nearly everyone in the US can get vaccinated quickly at this point. Read more

I’ve been fascinante by all the van life youtube videos since before Nomadland - from the #vanlife instagram youths with their pretty, very expensive conversions to the no build minivan forced early retirees living like those Nomadland to everything in between. I tend to dislike schoolies (converted school buses) and Read more
