The whole point is EVERYONE (except small children and those with certain medical issues who can’t wear one safely) should wear a mask. You wear it to protect me. I wear it to protect you. If we all wear it, the spread slows.

I did. Ventilation and airflow appears to play a big part.

And yet people in hospitals have to put them in a paper bag overnight and then reuse them.

Exactly.

I’ve been giving monthly to Feeding America for over a decade and recommend them. You do have to make sure to opt out of them sharing your information which is somewhat annoying but they’ve been good about it as well as not sending me anything beyond email updates.

Maybe it’s because it’s still pretty chilly here but fortunately for me and my dog, most people walk earlier in the day. If I go out during the day, I wear a mask and it’s more of a short stroll than a good walk.

I agree and find I take better walks without it. I’m not in a major city and find if I wait until 7/8pm I see very few people so it’s okay to walk without it.

My parents used to do that when I was growing up. I think from a great uncle who owned a small farm but I don’t recall the details.

Space Ghost is Jesus. How did I not know that?

Or if you’re in an are where others aren’t wearing a mask (to protect you), consider wearing a valve mask under your cloth mask. So you can try to protect yourself and other.

What we know/think we know about COVID19 is fluid - we’re still learning. It took time to learn about how it could spread from the breath of asymptomatic carriers.

Because we’re doing so little testing and even less contact tracing, we should all act as if we and/or the people around us have COVID19. And stay home as much as possible. Keep physical distance. Wash our hands. Wear a mask.

I agree. My job’s very stable and I already live below my means so increasing my savings isn’t a big priority. I’m trying to support local restaurants by ordering curbside takeout and tipping generously. I bought a ticket to a virtual film screening to support my local film festival. I’ve doubled my monthly Feeding

Thank you for that clarification. It doesn’t surprise me that a corporation puts both its employees and customers at risk with extra contacts over 1% or less.  Especially a Texas corporation.

Maybe it’s (outdated) company policy. All I can say is they were having to run out in the rain one day to get then return people’s credit cards.

Sourdough pizza crust?

Credit card processing rules. If you order online, you can pay online with the credit card. If you order by phone, they may have to physically take your card into the restaurant*, swipe it and bring it back. It makes curbside less contactless.
