Well, kids have always had to bring their own pencils. It’s essentially the same concept. At least in my class, the individual whiteboards are used as essential parts of the lesson (spelling practice, vocab recognition, checking for understanding), so not having markers holds up the class and hinders their practice.

A lot of teachers use individual dry erase boards in class; the markers are for the kids to use, not the teacher!

Other commenters have bright up the angle of students with visible or invisible disabilities, but to give you the benefit of the doubt, I’m sure you’re flexible there. If a student has an accommodation, I’m sure you provide it. To assume otherwise is just a bit mean.

So, I have a Merina IUD. I got it while I was having an abortion because my oral BC failed.

So I just got my second IUD. I successfully had my first one (both have been mirena) for the 5 years and then just went through the mirena removal/insertion of a second one. The first time was fine. I had no problems for 5 years. The first 3 years I had no periods/barely any spotting. For the past two years I’ve had

The IUD is totally worth it!!! If you go with Mirena it only provides local hormones instead of systemic like BC. Also, periods get much lighter and for most people they stop. B

I’ve had a Mirena IUD for less than a week, so I can’t offer too much advice since I can’t really tell if I’ll be one of the lucky ones who doesn’t get their period, but I can talk about what insertion was like for me, since it’s still pretty fresh in my memory. The insertion for me wasn’t actually that painful. If

FWIW, I’m on my third Mirena, 13 wonderful years so far! You will not miss your period....I mean, you will not mind not having a period.

I’ll most likely get it done on a Saturday so I’ll at least have the Sunday to recover. Hopefully I won’t need to take Monday off but at the very least I think I could get away with taking some emergency leave in the morning and coming in during the afternoon.

I’m glad you don’t have to deal with shitty periods

Thank you! This was super helpful! And yeah I’m a little nervous about the insertion but my general outlook on pain is if it at least has an end point and whatever comes after is worth it, I can do my best to grin and bear it.

And it sounds worth it! It’s always just comforting to hear other people’s positive

Get an IUD, for sure. Your mom’s knowledge is outdated. Yes, some women have complications, but most women don’t. I have the Skyla, which is a little smaller than the Mirena (both hormonal) but I wish I got the Mirena instead because it lasts 5 years as opposed to Skyla’s 3.

So I think I missed the time frame for this opening thread but I could really use some advice.

I’m hooking up with this one guy a lot more steadily than I thought I would be and realizing that condoms while useful are also really annoying (for both of us). I’ve never taken birth control and never used an IUD because

Who thinks he isnt good enough? He has adores Rih for a very long time and has patiently pursued her. I think it is very sweet how much he stans for her. They are a perfect match, IMO

He’s 1,000 steps up from Chris fucking Brown, so I don’t really understand either.

Okay, how is spending time with someone and getting a tattoo of something they gave you one-sided? Just because we’re used to the stereotype of the woman being the one who’s more “into” the relationship? I think it’s refreshing, actually, to see a guy put himself out there like he does, especially in hip-hop culture.

I know the General Opinion is that Drake is Not Good Enough, but I think he’s the best. Of all the choices of rappers out there right now, I’d 4 sure pick him. Seems like a sweet, genuine guy. Why is that not good enough?

Congrats!!! That’s so awesome!

The dummy proof birth control is excellent, but the real winner is the almost never having a period part of my Mirena. I only regret that I did not understand how amazing IUDs were earlier.

Yeah - I wish I’d had access to “IUDs are not all Dalkon Shield, tell your doctor that yes they CAN install it in you even if you’ve never had kids” or “you can take your birth control all month long and never have a period” back in the 80s...! I could’ve saved decades of annoyance and/or suffering.

My IUD is a magic wand.
