Yeah I didn’t initially know that either but that’s how my gyno explained it to me and I really do like it a lot! I wanted the paragard initially bc of no hormones but she definitely swayed me to the mirena and I have to say I’m really glad I did! Also, I had suppppper bad period cramps before getting my mirena and

Oh yeah! Even winter break and spring break- I’m catching up on work the whole time! And you’re so right, it’s really rewarding. There are days at my job that really warm my heart and make me know it’s all worth it. The kids really make the job, it’s so great to see them grow and succeed! All the rest, it’s just noise

Ugh hormones affect me like crazy too!! Pill was a literal hell for me. From how my gyno explained it to me (after I told her I was freaked about hormones) is that the hormones in mirena are localized whereas the pills are systemic, which is more likely to affect you all over and cause side effects rather than

God I wish they were!! Like whenever someone starts bringing up summer break to me and how it is fair that we get a vacation- which we all know is not true anyway lol most of us work or do PD or curriculum planning or just lesson planning- I just get so pissy bc I totally think we earn it! Haha like from the time I

No not with mirena! Just the cramping for a week or so after insertion and then some spotting for the first month, but it’s been smooth sailing since! (Knock on wood lol) I had horrible side effects on the pill, like acne weight gain and depressive thoughts, so the mirena is such a blessing to me. Plus, no period!

See I feel like I had the same horrible experience on the pill but my mirena has been a life saver for me! Isn’t it funny how one thing that’s a miracle for some is a nightmare for others? Sorry about your bad time on it, I always think it’s so awful that birth control has to be a so terrible for some of us!

The mirena is really so so awesome! I’ve had mine for 5 months! No periods which means no debilitating period cramps! The insertion was a bitchhhhh but sooo worth it. It has just given me such peace of mind tbh

the school year just started for me and I’m teaching 4 different preps (twice as many as most) and holy shit my lesson plans took me 5 hours to write out which does not even include the prep I need to do for my classes. Plus I’m coaching an extra curricular. Oh and I’m moving this week. Oh and my anxiety about all

Really?? Oh gosh that's good to hear! I hope it pans out for me like that because I really love mine! Despite the initial pain, allll the benefits out weigh that by FAR.

That’s the perfect set up! Just lots of comfy blankets, good tv, and lots of take out and you’ll be good! :) I even think I went out for dinner with friends the next night! Lol

No problem! I definitely was freaked out from reading too many stories about IUDs online, but my gyno was so reassuring with me about them and told that she honestly recommends them above any birth control. And the pain, I’m rereading my comment and I hope I didn’t scare you off hahaha some people have really easy

Hi! So I totally get what you mean about being freaked by the hormonal birth control- I had two different pills really fuck up my life- like depressive suicidal thoughts, weight gain, acne, and horrible mood swings. That being said I am totally paranoid about getting pregnant so just condoms alone would not work for

ahh it is a lot honestly haha but I think it was an issue of numbers, which change greatly in our department from year to year. The good news is classes are tiny and I have taught 3 of the 4 courses before. It just sucks that now I have extra planning to do with the same amount of prep.

Oh my gosh, the more you say the more I think we might be the same person actually!! Haha and I feel that way too. I love where I’m at and I think everything I’m doing is good and god I’m sure you know how rewarding the job can be- but it’s just overwhelming and mentally straining at times. It’s hard to not feel like

Hi!! Fellow 24 year old teacher here! This is my 3rd year of teaching and I agree this year is feeling a bit overwhelming already, tho it hasn’t started yet.

Oh it's so good! I have one- my period is non existent now! So fabulous

I don't think so! I've used nothing but drugstore hair products and my stylist always compliments how healthy my hair is.

Wow I can’t believe it. I am actually in an identical situation!! Like right down to the connection, coffee shop near where i work, one night stand, seeming super into me but not texting back for a week! So I haven’t heard from him since last Thursday when he said we should hang out again soon, but he never texted to

Yesssss!!! Beauty bakerie is the best!! So so long wearing and I get compliments wherever I go!! I’ve pretty much tried every liquid lip, and these are the best. They’ll last thru almost anything and the color selection is the best

I loveeeeeee beauty bakerie lip whips. They’ll literally last through anything and they come in an amazing range of colors. I wear them every day and people always ask me what I’m wearing. I literally can’t give them enough love! So so good!
