Well, I suppose the overshadowing bit may be why the F2P game died - they were going down the esports route again, and there is no denting SC's market share there. Or that of MOBAs...

Is a closed alpha which has had its development killed off and its developers fired even count as a "finished product"?

Internal politics are a pain. I'd love to have seen what this and C&C F2P would've turned out to be...

Shift 2 is moddable on PC though, so there is a community-made patch to fix or minimize the input lag...

The Run's port was actually pretty OK, at least they lifted the 30FPS cap and didn't bind that to the bleeding physics engine...

I played it for 240-odd hours (getting to the level cap), and then got banned for an infinite car glitch that occured after the devs stopped caring (they are never going to live down their inability to ban cheaters, zero tolerance or not) The game is a mess, and it takes a lot of dedication or stupidity to continue

Well, "clinics" for "video game addiction" exist there, so there's that. And there's the fact that the most widely publicized "deaths by video game" occurred there (or in Taiwan)

I don't see why not, considering Hyundai's QarmaQ concept had a good deal of its bodywork made out of recycled plastic bottles...

Well, I might not be able to specifically speak for Singapore, but yes, this corner of South East Asia can be extremely conservative or extremely intolerant of anything alien to the older generation (don't ask why K-pop is exempt). Between this and that murder of a cosplayer here in Malaysia... ugggh cosplaying is

Save more and do more reading of reviews/checking with r/buildapc or forums? I live in Malaysia (definitely not western by anyone's standards), and that's what I've been doing...

I do, and I'm certainly under 35 (somewhere around half that). Unfortunately, school here takes up a lot of my time, and I'm a little low on glue and paint...

Need for Speed World's quality at this point in time is far, far worse than C&C4 or this, yet there still is a mountain of people willing to spend massive amounts of money on ingame items.

How did you guess? I actually am planning to do just that xD

Not entirely, due to differences in amounts of vehicular carnage and customization (at the very least performance-wise).

The Run's PC version had neither, but I think that might have had more to do with the PS3 being the lead platform /pcmasterrace

If you pay attention to what's been coming out of Criterion, you will know that it's actually their call (of all the things in the world), not EA's. While Criterion is working on something "all new", it would indeed be nice for them to make a return to Burnout sometime.

If it IS frame capped at release, it probably will be patched a few months after release to have the cap lifted, similar to The Run, which used Frostbite 2 and was capped to 30FPS at release as well.
