IMO, this is more about Toyota doing better than all of it’s legacy peers that have tons of unsold expensive EV’s on their lots. This was their reasoning for not throwing all their weight behind BEV’s (yet), and it sure looks like that move is getting validated (for now).

There’s magnitudes more to Elon than “mean”, some good and some bad. Same goes for Toyota being Goliath.

Cool. Now why does him being a jerk involve the car company.

I’m looking at it through a screen and squinting.

Wait until I stick one of these on the hood of every Tesla:

Has Pratt actually done anything… bad? Like I feel like Elliot Page just went off on the guy for going to church and a whole bunch of people said ok screw this guy because Elliot said so

“Crown cut” sounds fancy but it’s just the normal way that boards are sawn from a log. Quarter sawn is actually more expensive because it’s more complicated and creates more waste, but it gives you a different grain pattern which is sometimes preferred. Quarter sawn boards are also more dimensionally stable.

And the wheels are just too busy.”

What’s funny is that their former partners seem to have this figured out. Everyone else is trying to be like the hip, trendy microbrewery-Asian-steakhouse-fusion-cafe that just opened up down the street. Meanwhile over at Chrylser, they’re like, “fuck it, plenty of people still eat at Texas Roadhouse and Buffalo Wild

Just like how Cadillac and Lincoln started reviving their brands with beautiful big luxury cars, but then quickly dumped them, some times you produce a product and chalk the losses up as marketing.

with paint jobs that look like they need a mortgage...”
