GM could have made an EV with literally any other brand and it would have been a better decision. You need profit margin on an EV. There’s no profit margin in a Chevy which is supposed to be their base brand, although GM is forced to keep the Corvette there.

I happen to know that the SAAB JAS-39 Gripen uses 12-phase electricity.

While I agree, that’s pretty much an automatic fail scenario since buyers are going to compare it to something like a Wraith and wonder why it has 200 less hp.

And the ON switch would have been between the front seats.

Yeah, but Saab being Saab, the cars would have required 135V, 4 phase power to charge.  Just because.

I think hummer is actually going to work as an electric brand. The only thing people are buying these days are SUV’s, so if you want to sell electric make it an SUV.

I disagree. I’d say the H2 was the only Hummer considered excessive. It was a bold brand, and it could easily pivot to a statement electric car that presents a bold futuristic image.

But make them fired by beautiful, clean coal!

If Hummer wasn’t excessive it would be a different car . Electric or ICE hummer needs to be over the top .

I proposed this a few years back - The ideal brand is Hummer. They could have re imagined themselves as a bleeding-edge electric tech company, such as Farady with better management. Instead they are back to excess, only in an electrified way.

I would like to see Duesenberg make a comeback to rival Bugatti. Or Pierce-Arrow.

SAAB for sure. They were outside the box and would have been awesome electric. Imagine a new version of the 95 not (the 9-5 mind you) with electric power.

As I wrote earlier, if this had been any other company than Tesla, everyone would assume that the used car dealer was at fault.”

The window sticker listing FSD and other options the dealer got from Tesla when they bought the car from them is pretty clear evidence that Tesla acknowledges that the car was sold to the dealer with those options.

No Tesla is just being a dick, the dealer bought the car at auction, verified the FSD and Autopilot were as advertised in the auction, there is a picture in the article the dealer took verifying the functionality. They moved forward and sold is on with the knowledge the functions were there. Tesla said after the fact

But remember, Tesla sold the car on 11/15. When they did the audit, they were no longer the owners of the car.

If Tesla removed the feature on 11/18 and the guy bought it from the used car dealer on 12/20, that means he didn’t do his homework and have the car check out to have everything that the used car dealer claimed that it has.

I see Tesla is now doing with their cars what I used to do with my Bumble profiles. See, I’m not technically lying — you see, I used to be a chiseled, rippling mass of 6'4" muscle.
