Friend of mine had a Ford C-Max. Out of warranty. He downloaded an upgrade to the infotainment system FROM FORD and tried to apply it. It bricked the screen. Ford refused to fix it for free, even after he ran it up the chain at Ford Corporate - they just didn’t care. Wanted like $1800 to replace it. Even in that car

I have driven any number of cars that had cruise resume aggressive enough to startle someone not paying attention.

Do you REALLY have to ask that question? Er - yes, yes they are far too much of the time.

Very much agree. My BMWs and Mercedes all have stalk-controlled cruise control. And IMHO, there is simply no need for cruise control to have an on-off switch. On my cars it is always on, and I have never once accidentally activated it. The only major difference is that on the BMW resume is a button on the tip, on the

Most are created quite solidly though. :-)

Now imagine that instead of a Jeep, it had been something like a Tesla Plaid that hit you... And people wonder why I think nobody should have that sort of power underfoot.

Take your damned star.

My PDR dude bought a Honda KEI truck - that thing is super cool, and perfect for his on-site dent repair business.

Seriously. I have a coworker in Boston who with his partner has owned a series of Smart cars so that they can park two cars in their single off-street parking space and avoid the full-contact sport that is Boston street parking.

My take on this bullshit is that if motorcycles are legal, these cars and trucks should be legal too. If “safety” is the rationale for banning them, well, they are a hell of a lot safer than a bike.

Truth - you don’t see what’s-his-name from PA denying that he crashed his car into somebody or that it wasn’t his fault or that the other driver pulled in front of him for political reasons. He did it, he will deal with the consequences like a man, not a man-baby. I have no doubt he will lean on his position to

A the local level, it’s probably more meaningful than being a US Senator. They are a lot cheaper to buy, and state legislatures have all the power in their own state..

To be fair, if you get up enough speed you might just be able to coast the rest of the way. ;-) I once coasted into a gas station after I ran out.

Sadly, it’s very on brand for them today. Not the party I once belonged to in any way, and my views on things haven’t changed much over the years.

It really does help though. A lot.

Tesla’s QC was being done by the PR department.

Not even for free, my time has value.

Most coachbuilt cars are like that. They have a distinct tendency of demonstrating that money can’t buy good taste. I don’t think Middle Eastern money even knows how to RENT good taste.

I would infinitely prefer this. I can fix this with spanners and a hammer, it’s just a car, not a software dependent rolling computer in a hideous wrapper. And it sounds a whole lot better too. I have heard an LM002 bellow past - you need to hear it to believe it. Doesn’t sound anything like a golf cart, unlike a

And nah, they hire really good shooters when they are cataloging $10M+ cars. This car is just kinda homely. It’s also probably one of the least valuable of these cars, even at $10-11M.
