Imagine genuinly thinking “I’ve never heard of this, so no one else has either” and then actually making that a comment. That is fascinating.

I liked most of her sketches, and a few of them were absolute gold (playing the war video game with her boyfriend, “that’s so ghetto,” and the one about taking selfies). I’ve always wondered how much of that was her and how much was a clever writing team; the sketches always seemed more sophisticated (certainly more

This is gonna be the most cathartic bracket ever. Immediately after voting I was filled with a feeling of peace and weightlessness, albeit temporarily. I guess imagining a world without YouTubers really was that therapeutic!

I appreciate everyone here who is saying that Cats sucks, because they’re right, but they’re also not going far enough. Everything Andrew Lloyd Weber touches is garbage.

Cats is a bunch of poems, crudely shaped into songs, and then shoehorned around an abstract excuse for a plot. It’s fucking terrible.

these two ladies seem like characters cut from a sketch show which specifically makes fun of Brooklyn and how annoying New Yorkers are

I would deeply love to not care about this, but Red Scare and Chapo House are *huge* on Twitter if you even slightly try to engage in leftist discourse. It is... startling, to say the least, to get called a centrist neoliberal white feminist shrill by people who espouse the viewpoint that white supremacy isn’t really

.............this is why, though mentally I understand male gynecologists overall are professional and not utter cretins, I like to go to female doctors. And this is also why, whenever I have gone to a male doctor in my excellent HMO, they’ve ALWAYS had a female chaperone in the room during the examination.

Buried among all the reporting is that Tyndall’s supervisor, who is now dead, apparently protected him for years.

It feels like this movie was cobbled together from reshoots. It makes me wonder if the entire thing was improved - it was rarely funny. There was no real plot or much momentum. So many characters packed in and not one with enough depth to care about..even for a comedy.

this movie was terrible

I agree, but I think that overall there is a shared responsibility to be stated (not aggressively just as both an onlooker and SNL viewer) for SNL just not being a great show diversity-wise (historically and now) and the general SNL audience (myself included) for singularly consuming culture. Tbh I also had never

To men: I don’t know how you people walk around with those things.

I know this to be true, because I was a cocktail waitress at Cardwell’s in St. Louis in the ‘90's when one Mr. Jon Hamm was a waiter there. Also, he has been in my kitchen (my roommate was the costume designer of a play he was in, and roomie threw the cast party at our apartment).

I deeply, intensely, hated him at the start, but inexplicably shifted to just really hating him at.the video’s end. Oh god, is this how they get you?

One of his good friends killed himself a year or so ago. I think consensus is that’s what it’s about...

There really is at least one for everything he says and does, isn’t there?

It shouldn’t have to be said, but I will say it anyway: If you voted for Trump because you “just didn’t like Hillary,” I will never fucking forgive you.

Yeah, fuck the trolls and everything but it’s not a great special. It really felt like she was paid via a bonus structure that kicked in whenever she made a drunk girl in the audience yell “Woo!”

I’m conflicted. On the one hand, I’m 100% on her side and 100% opposed to the alt-right. On the other hand, her special was not good. I’m a fan of her show, and I liked her movie a lot, and I liked her previous special, but this one sucked, frankly.
