They should, because I personally can't stand Bethesda's character design and animation for their NPCs: there's something weirdly 'uncanny valley' about them that leaves me wishing they'd gone with something a little more stylized (like Bioshock: Infinite) and less like they were trying for realism... and failing. ;P

I haven't played Korean MMOs but I learned the hard way that I'm so used to being mollycoddled on carebear servers of Western MMOs (where there are few, if any, consequences for dying to other players) that I no longer have that edge to be able to play MMOs with cutthroat PvP anymore (if I ever did).

There was a time

Yeah, I played a bit of the beta on PC, which was alright, but not compelling enough for me to get. All I know is I found the Xbox 360 port to be terribly... disappointing. I should have guessed, but it was cheap and on sale. ;P

Not that I was much good at CS:S to be honest.

It's about ethics in CS:GO journalism! #GOmerGate

They say it's to increase blood donation, but really...

... it's to increase organ donation. ;P

It's barbaric that they still haven't repealed those clearly homophobic rules on blood donation. It's like, what, heterosexuals can't engage in risky sexual behaviour? Every bar I've ever been to would indicate otherwise, myself included. :P

It'll be on the next Portishead album.

Except that she's _not_ a "self proclaimed gender police of the gaming industry" and never claimed to be such. She's never called for a ban on your favourite video games or called for censorship. If you disagree with her videos, then don't watch them. If you want to make a rebuttal to her arguments, make your own

When did Anita Sarkeesian call for a ban on video games? Never. That's not even a good false comparison by the standards of spurious "logic", and classic guilt by association fallacy: Let's compare Sarkeesian to Jack Thompson, a well-known anti-gamer boogieman to scare and rile up the masses against Sarkeesian.

Sorry, are you still defending people who make death and rape threats against female feminists while talking about other people "viewing this issue with any degree of fanaticism"? Before you say "I'm not defending people who make death and rape threats", please remember that you just keep bringing up all the various

I wish I could star your post more than once. Kudos! :)

Heh, all the female gamers I play CoD: MW3/BLOPS2/Ghosts with and against on XBL would disagree with you. And a large number of them kick ass and take names (they frequently beat me, and while I'm not amazing or anything, I'm not absolutely terrible all the time, and even went 21-1 once while running and gunning),

No, it's the sense of entitlement that comes from expecting others to do all the heavy lifting for independent research, verification and critical analysis required for a topic they supposedly care about enough to write a long comment on it on a website comments thread, when the facts are readily available at one's

But the real question is, do you have a YouTube video where you show step-by-step how you folded your tinfoil hat into the shape of a fedora? Because that's almost as impressive as your physics-defying bending over backwards attempts at grasping for straws to build straw men with.

I agree. That's why I don't buy the "don't feed the trolls" argument: even if a troll's mind can't be changed (one might argue whether they have a mind at all), it's for the benefit of fence-sitters and people who don't know any better, who may well get roped into the demagoguery of professional trolls if their

Yeah, almost all my cartoonist friends are female, and it's not like I made friends with them because they were female cartoonists (I didn't even know until recently that most of them did cartoons).

I did not know this about Sean Penn. That's scary. :( I thought he only reserved his violence for paparazzi. And yes, I agree: I think there's a certain element of misogyny in the Heigl-hate, because the things I read about what she says, they sound pretty reasonable to me. And I watched _Knocked Up_ again and

Damn, now I have to see this.

Her trans*phobic (among other) comments (http://yourfaveisproblematic.tumblr.com/post/456613266…) are what killed my opinion of her, unfortunately. That being said, I feel badly for her because of the iCloud hack. I just hope Seth MacFarlane doesn't include her in a sequel to his "We Saw Your Boobs" song. :(
