I meant when people make fun of people's height, it usually doesn't seem to carry the level of spite that mocking someone's weight does. But now that I type that out I'm not sure how true that is.

Height is socially acceptable to mock too; arguably it's more acceptable, if not usually as mean

> In order to keep the weight off, contestants have to eat dramatically less than a normal human being would.

Except the he's trying to bring in actual revenue which does't really fit with with current SV "unicorn" bubble. If they were going to try and skewer the current tech bubble he'd be decrying bringing in any revenue at the cost of "penetration". A Pied Piper on everyone's phone for free is ironically worth more money

P4k gave this an 8.5 and Best New Music

I rather liked Tiny Furniture. I think I'd hate 5 seasons of a Linklater cable dramedy. Maybe it's just the format. But yea further debate is pointless have a good one.

Mostly because my gf likes it so I watch it with her.

Of course. Sunny is great.

Seinfeld is consistently funny tho. And it never asked you to feel sympathetic towards George.

What is interesting about her? What is Girls *about*? She's constantly abrasive if not entirely self destructive, makes no real effort to change that, and never faces any real consequences for her actions (she might lose a job, boyfriend, or opportunity, but a new one will pop up in 3 episodes or less).

She's not just flawed, she has nearly 0 redeeming factors. House is competent. Hannah has given up on writing entirely and would have been fired at her current job 3 times over in a realistic universe. But I guess you've figured it all out.

Same problem Paul Rust has

You're pretty much spot on. One of the biggest problems the show has is that it expects us to sympathize and have empathy for these characters' problems and perceived struggle (Hannah is cut off from her middle class parents, Jessa needing money for her 'schooling' is a current plot point, etc.) and yet there are

The problem I've always had with Hannah and the show as a whole dates back to the original marketing and critical reading that Hannah represents a slightly warped version of Dunham herself, a la Louie and Louis C.K.. Contrasting Dunham, who is evidently successful, rich, and from an extremely privileged background and

I want a Chromehounds reboot, but I might be the only one

I've been on the other side of that (one of my girlfriend's best friends was a dude she'd been more than friends with at some point), and honestly it's pretty awkward.

I still don't understand what or who Hannah is supposed to be lampooning. Yes I realize she's just a character whose actions mostly serve comedy and the plot, but with the way the show started and was presented, I can't help but think Lena Dunham's thought process is somewhere along the lines of "wouldn't it be

It's more related to relationships, but there is a lot of height shaming that seems to be more or less tolerated. And "midget" seems to be the go-to insult if I manage to piss someone off.

I know the larger discussion is a women's issue here, "what about the menz" etc. But there rarely is any good space to talk about male body image/shaming. I just want to say it, only because I usually can't (if I express it I have a complex!)

I don't see sizes
