I have to say that as I entered my 40’s, I had to realize that I just don’t have time to play everything I want and that that’s OK. It was very freeing. No longer do I hoard games and then fret. No longer do I feel FOMO. I look at it more as using my gaming time itself; not as “I need to play this quantity of games

That’s not what it’s referring to.

That’s not what it’s referring to.

God damn it, Jesus fucking Christ!

He said something at the end that was indicative of a certain ex president.

I’ve bought more LEGO in my 40s than ever before.

I love the movie. I think it’s really one of their best. It’s something approachable and something you could watch with friends who’ve never seen the show.

I don’t think they ever claimed they were...?

Yep, been doing it for decades.

Counterpoint: maybe don’t renew it if you’re probably not going to travel soon, so you don’t further the backlog for no good reason and delay people who actually NEED it?

Her “proving” her body is creating the same problem she’s complaining about.

Calm down with your semantics bullshit.

The hell is a Merc?

I’m still unsure about this one. It’s all time gated, which is I guess OK, but going to get boring fast if they don’t keep something new to do.

How? It’s a specific rule that was broke in the exact way you’re not supposed to, which is why the rule exists. If he said half a word and stopped it then maybe the technicality is that he didn’t finish the word, but this couldn’t be clearer.

How is saying an extra word when the rules are “don’t say extra words” a technicality? It couldn’t be clearer and more exact and specific.

Sometimes “and” is on the board and sometimes it isn’t. What are the specific circumstances where you will allow a word to be read that’s not on the board? You can’t skip or add “and” anywhere else.

Which word are you proposing allowing, just “and”? And only if it’s the second to last word or phrase? What about “the” or “a”, or “also” or “plus”? The whole point of this rule is that there is zero ambiguity. You’re adding ambiguity if you change this rule.

The whole point of a competition is to do something that we aren’t hard wired to do. Ken Jennings wasn’t hard wired to win Jeopardy. Part of the skill is saying exactly what’s up there, despite your hard wiring.

I don’t really think that argument makes sense. That would be like saying well, in Jeopardy, it’s not natural to ask a question before an answer...the whole point of a game is to do something specific. Just say those words, that’s part of the game. Part of the game is not adding or subtracting words.

I don’t even think it’s a technicality. You have to say the exact words. Every other game has specific rules. Just because it’s a common word doesn’t make it a technicality, to me. You can’t add or subtract words, period.
