Players like Gianni’s and Embiid can’t really be considered “the future of the league,” in my opinion. They’re the types of athletes who might come along once or twice in a generation. (significantly rarer than that for Giannis. I don’t think there ever been a player his height/length with his speed and agility.)

See, I would consider Carr, Bridgewater, and especially Dak indictments of most front offices. They were all passed on by teams that needed QBs.

I’m less impressed by Kerr’s “lineup of death” for the simple fact that it shouldn’t be rocket science to put your five best dudes on the court regardless of size. I’d argue the GM gets the credit for that lineup more than the coach.

At the time, it kind of seemed like Jason Kidd was just winging it when he said he was going to try playing Giannis at the point. Is this the best coaching decision of the past 5 (maybe 10?) years in the NBA?
