“I worship this movie”...jesus some of these critics need to keep their fanboyism in their pants. Embarrassing.

For me, that “movie” is “Marriage Story” this year. 2 hours of people arguing over whether to live in New York or LA. “we’re a New York family” must have been said a dozen times. Great performances, but it just didn’t get out of its own neurotic head.
Tree of life is the only movie i nearly walked out of. I’ve been to “bad” movies, but Tree of Life was just insufferable. I recently watched “Days of Heaven”, and found it much better, but clearly the problems I have with Malick were there already, just slightly more subdued. Tree of Life was just people whispering…
For me the toughest boss was Lady Butterfly, right at the start of the game. Sweet jesus that woman kicked my ass for days.
Funny enough, I actually did replay Sekiro just to get the different endings. And I have one ending to go, which i may well do now that I’ve had time away from the game.
My nephew asked me why i always wore the same shirt when he saw me. It’s called you see me once a month you jerk and you are paying far more attention than I am to what i’m wearing to go to my parents house for Sunday lunch!
I think ultimately streaming is the biggest culprit. the home DVD market was wiped out, and streaming doesn’t give movies the same revenue stream to turn a flop into a quiet success a few years after launch, the way a movie like Fight Club could eventually earn a profit. Studios are probably earning more money from…
It’s not “thinking slightly different things”, it’s being enraged online that an old man dare express his opinion that some movies aren’t his cup of tea. Marvel movie fans don’t have a good track record of coming at these controversies from a calm “just disagreeing” nature...
I think it should be noted that this was filmed awhile ago, so at the very least this isn’t the producers responding to real time backlash, this was something they chose to do back in April when the show was filming.
On that tweet about Gordon Ramsay’s place “no Asian chefs”...I say “so?”. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in downtown Toronto has an open kitchen, and i’m pretty sure none of those Sri Lanken or Chinese chefs were Italian. On the scale of things, I don’t think this one matters.
Back in maybe 2008, i was texting on my old flip phone as I rolled to a stop sign, and didn’t notice the car in front hadn’t started moving yet, made the lightest bump, but I still got out, we checked the bumpers, no damage, she didn’t want to bother with insurance and drove off. That scared the crap out of me still,…
You do know you have dozens of other options, right? You don’t *have* to read or “care” about this one comic.
Speak for yourself...
I don’t recall people treating Sony as a plucky upstart. That’s just Disney fanboy nonsense to make it seem like their whining was OK.
Sony doesn’t need our help, but the fanboy whining to push Sony to give Marvel/Disney everything is what is being criticized.
Well that sucks! But good luck in your future ventures, I’m sure I’ll read you somewhere else.
I didn’t care about his tweet, I didn’t care about the “backlash”, but it moved so quickly to a backlash against the backlash that I then cared about his tweet. Intellectual Dark Web bench warmer Jesse Singal tweeted out about how vicious the attacks on him were, how he was being “cancelled”, and that’s when I knew we…
Did Steam Machines ever even get released? I’m surprised the controllers were even released, I just thought the machines were delayed and delayed and then killed off, and that Valve never released the controllers.
Spotify convinced people to spend $120 a year on music when people had gotten quite good at getting all music for free. That is a huge accomplishment!
I can’t listen to other “bad movie” podcasts because they tend to be too obsessed with “beat by beat plot summary” in the way of a bad AV Club TV episode review (not naming names because I don’t track these by name...but can we stop with the TV reviews that are just plot summaries? ...I digress). HDTGM is easier to…
