I'll field this from a filmmaker's point of view. They have all the tone and gravitas and affect of dark and thrilling movies. If you cut past all the presentation, their stories are absolute dogshit with no coherency and seem to be made on a scene by scene basis with no concern for the flow of the narrative. Heavy

But pong's fun. The Coleco Vision is just crap.

Um... no. No to everything he asks for. Give him a colecovision

Cool, I'm in.

I hope he's got a fistful of quarters, cause I'm about to go Virtual On on his ass.

Can I smack you? Because unless you are making a sarcastic crack, and you're not acting like a total moron who basically too stupid to understand that IT'S A JOKE, I'm gonna smack the living crap out of you.

Their logic is stupid. And probably the reason I've been waiting over a decade now for a new, proper, Dino Crisis game

Steam. Hot Air...

I would also throw Beneath a Steal Sky in there. It has the added benefit of actually being blade runner and not a pale imitation like Snatcher (for the record I like Snatcher) Its a very strange story and concerns the nature of what it means to be human.

There was a Blade Runner Adventure game made back in the 90s. It was a sequel/parallel narrative to the movie. It was bloody glorious and there are plenty of theoretical musings on it across the internet. Probably one of the best game stories ever.

I've watched that movie once or twice a month since I was 9. It, along with Alien, First Men in the Moon, The Man who would be King, and a movie I have trouble recalling the name of at 2:30 in the morning made me want to be a filmmaker.

That's probably the name of that mission to be totally honest.

I am Trevor with decent 3rd person shooting controls.

I want to play a FPS where you play through an entire 2-3 opening hours of a game thinking your a badass military commando and then unlock a 3rd person cover snap feature to reveal you're a balding middle aged man with a paunch and in his underwear the entire time.

Seriously? this fucking argument was over a month ago.

Ah the virtual Porn-Far episode or as I like to say it, "Psychic Date Rape and Violently Aroused Half Klingon.

It's not that it can't be pretty. It's that those aiming for a realistic looking game aren't really looking for true realism but rather 'realism' as an aesthetic as they are taught by movies (many realistic games are incredibly derivative of hollywood films) meaning desaturated, colour keyed to be earth tones, and

Yeah, a Tay recap around 2-3 pm (GMT -5:00) my time would be great, actually.

You do know that comment was written almost a full year ago and certain facts of the case were then not public? At least if you're gonna argue with me, do it on a discussion that's freakin' current and not something that I haven't thought about in months.
