Instead of killing off Juliette I think she should just leave. Like she could freak out over finding out the truth about Nick etc, not be able to live with it and leave town for good. This would get rid of Juliette without a lot of aftermath and also explain why so few people know the truth about wessen (not everybody…
That was a lot less than I was expecting: assuming that was all of the references 30 Rock spent just 8 seconds per episode referencing movies. Or to put it an other, equally boring way, movie references were 0,4% of each 30 Rock episode.
If it wasn't for this feature's comment section I would've never heard of Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats. And that alone is such a find I'm sad to see this feature go.
I think today's episode showed that her range goes from "looking nonplussed" to "looking nonplussed while doing wildly exaggerated hand gestures".
Agreed. And it's baffling that Grimm uses so much awful CGI when the make-up effects (like dead bodies etc) are pretty darn good.
Oh Barcelona: enjoy the streets overcrowded with tourists or take a couple of steps into one of the side streets and it's just you and the depressed eastern european prostitutes. And whichever you choose, you are almost guaranteed to be robbed.
Super Black Market Clash is my favorite The Clash album. Gates of The West, Pressure Drop, Capital Radio Two, Cool Confusion, etc … lots of great stuff in there.
Thanks to the internet not being a big thing at the time, I had no idea (until recently) that Pinkerton wasn't a huge hit and considered a masterpiece when it was released - everybody I knew at the time loved it, as did the local music magazines. Also, until I read this article I honestly thought Bush was considered a…
I wouldn't call Giuntioli a weak actor anymore. He was kinda bad season one, but has improved steadily and in my opinion he is easily good enough to be the lead in a show like this. It also helps a lot that the writers have given his character a new, more intense personality (which goes down to details, like his…
I felt about Super pretty much the way @avclub-1c94d7ee62364576f2f61996170fe903:disqus did - brain broken. Super was as if somebody had asked me what kind of film I wanted to see and then made the whole thing exactly according to my specs: "How about you take super hero deconstructing and do it in gritty seventies…
Just like @avclub-ad45e11f2e88b8963920c79cd1d8755e:disqus says, often the "cymbal problem" is not with the mp3 but the original recording or CD. However mp3 encoding tends to make the problem even worse, but it can be combated by using a good encoder and a good DAC (digital audio converter) when listening to music.
Grohl's ranting was worth it, if more record producers go back to the early seventies and learn … whatever it was the producers of the time did. I listen to a lot of rock music from different decades and for whatever reason records from the first part of the seventies seem to have by far the best production values…
I saw this episode without knowing it was the series finale. Needless to say, it was one hell of a viewing experience:
Jon kills bodyguard: WTF just happened?
Jon kills own son: … ?!?
Underwear fight in Russia: Uhh… ok… this has to be the final episode of this show, right?
David Giuntoli was kinda bad when the show started but is doing a good job now. On the other hand Bitsie Tulloch is reaching completely new levels of awfulness. The only way her acting makes any sense is if director's feedback to her for every scene is something like:
"Ok Bitsie, start by looking confused, as if you…
I agree with miraehl's assessment, and the good thing is that Grimm seems to be getting better. The last four episodes were best of the show so far in my opinion.
If you haven't seen them live before, you're in for a treat. I've been going to rock shows for almost 20 years and I'd easily place Kvelertak in top-3 live bands I've seen.
Kvelertak's new single Bruane Brenn is out and it's awesome. If rest of their new album is anywhere near that quality, it's easily going to be the best rock'n'roll album of the year.
The crazy rambling letters are a waste of time, but the FBI files are a fascinating read: FBI working together with Houston's private investigators tracking crazy people all over the world, FBI agents flying to Europe to threaten harassers … no wonder Houston starred in the bodyguard.
Our very own AV Club mentions a few in the previous album's review to get you started.
