I’ve noticed a bit of slowdown when loading certain things but definitely not on this level. A couple years ago the UI decided to take a shit as well and people were getting messages late and the store would load slowly and parties became finicky. It took them a couple of months to get it back up to par so I imagine a

Nah I supported my argument but every example I gave you twisted it around to fit your line of thinking so this is pointless and I’m not wasting anymore of my time on it. Laters

Lol alright I’m done. You just keep twisting everything to fit your narrative. If you think the console is aimed at kids, cool. It’s not, but I’m not going to argue it anymore with someone that ignores things that don’t fit their narrative. You wanna be willfully ignorant, be my guest.

I was actually talking about Zelda since we were just discussing first party. What kid do you know brings a tablet to school to play games with friends? Outside of the fire kids edition what kid owns a pricey tablet that they take with them to school? You’re taking one aspect and ignoring everything else though to

Family friendly sure but I wouldn’t necessarily call it child centric. A team based shooter, an open world rpg with deep mechanics don’t exactly scream child to me.

Undoubtedly how? Besides them trying to control us talking to strangers what else screams kids for you? What are these features that encourage play by children? Fragile glass touch screen? Easy to lose joy cons? Paid online service? Expensive accessories?

Oh but sales most assuredly impact design philosophy. Why keep designing for kids when those products aren’t selling? No, all these decisions are consistent with Nintendo having their still stuck in the dirt and not realizing what has made their competitors services successful. No no, their commercials show friends

And besides the Wii, how well has that worked out for them the past 4gens? The wiiu flopped, the GameCube was outsold by both competitors, the 64 was again outsold handsomely by the ps1. The wiiu had marketing directed towards kids because it was obviously a system aimed at kids. The switch has had a mature marketing

Why are we going off of their past products when all their marketing for this thing so far has been towards young adults and not kids? Again, then tell me who is and back it up like I have

Uh, going off all of their commercials so far I’d say I most definitely am their target audience now and kids aren’t anymore. The Super Bowl ad they just put out had one kid in it playing with his grandpa. Other than that these ads have been filled with 20-30 year olds. So tell me, who’s their target audience then?

I’ve had some amazing experiences meeting people online in games. Yeah I’ve met some shit heads too but they’re easy to mute. I don’t get defending less options. Don’t like it? Mute people, but don’t act like they’re doing us a favor by being behind the times.

I’m not. I dont see more options as a bad thing.

They also revealed they don’t know what they’re doing because in splatoon 2 we can only talk with friends, no strangers.

Yeah I think it’s because they wanted to do 60fps over graphics and textures took a hit to achieve that.

i heard there’s a big difference between the og and pro.

I’d argue it isn’t the graphics but the immersion that make or break vr. And so far resident evil does a pretty good job at that.

Scary as shit. You shoot where you’re looking with your head and it’s pretty good. Graphics look like ass though on the og PS4, but even textures in the game without vr turned on look like ass when you get close. Definitely would recommend doing your first play through in vr if you can.

It works both ways. If you’re playing a single player game then the person you’re share playing with can take control for you. If you’re playing a local co op game then the person you’re playing with can be player two. My gf and I used it to co op towerfall a few times.

Shareplay is different. This can’t be done online with someone on a different console.

Exactly. People need to just accept the switch for what it is. A system that is a good handheld, but lacking as a home console. The grip thing is just a slap in the face. It’s ridiculous they ship the thing and the joycon grip doesn’t have a charging port, but here’s one available at launch for $30. Same fucking thing
