From denying climate change to abortion bans, moronic bathroom bills etc. conservatives have proven themselves to as big if not bigger SJW’s than anyone on the political left.

I’ve long thought Kasi Lemmons has been overlooked as a director. Eve’s Bayou was a very good movie and should’ve been what “Selma” was for Ava Duvernay or “Moonlight” was for Barry Jenkins. She has nothing to be ashamed of as she’s done some quality films since. I just wished she got more financial backing to do even

As a Pittsburgher myself, this couldn’t be any more true. It’s a failure of government leaders and their refusal to create sustainable polices targeting the city’s Black population. For a city run by Democrats for decades, it’s sad, but not surprising as they’ve always had blindspots and have done little more than pay

People like Chait remain lost in time with their political views. With relatively few exceptions, Republican voters will not choose a Democrat cosplaying as a Moderate Republican from the 80's over a hard-line 2019 proto-fascist conservative.

I mostly agree with Nolan. Although Bernie is my first choice, I’ll enthusiastically support Warren if she’s the Democratic nominee.

Don’t forget that such a person would need to speak so motormouth fast most people couldn’t keep up with what they’re saying and simply nods along as if they’ve said something cogent.

I saw that video of him saying that. All he needed to do was demand that Black kids pull up their pants and he’d have his own “Pound cake speech”

This is why corporate media outlets suck. They’re a combination of Top 40 radio stations and old Jerry Springer shows. They take five or so stories of the moment (be they important like the trade war with China or a mass shooting or vapid like Trump tweeting about Debra Messing) and discuss them incessantly with very

This saddens the hell out of me. On one hand, you have what seems to be the very real problem of a small, White minority receiving most of the wealth (White supremacy is the most portable commodity) while the larger Black population are left fighting for scraps and ultimately each other.

But I feel that anyone who talks about how little the Democratic Party has done for black people has at least a cursory obligation to mention that the Republican Party is far worse.

Your star is for the BoJack Horseman reference!. Get that fetus / Kill that fetus!

No complaints with this list, especially since you explained your reasoning beforehand.

Salute to you!

Let me add some videos to your list if I may;

Thanks for showing fairness in your story about Senator Sanders, especially for stating the fact the majority of young Black people (and other POC) support him.

What scares me the most about Republicans going forward (especially if Trump loses in 2020) is they’ll find someone who can effectively speak to the economic inequality felt by many Americans (2015-16 Trump was good at that, despite the fact he was lying) and combines it with the social conservative dog-whistling that

I’m done. I don’t think you questions are intellectually honest and inquiring. It seems like Black men just never want to be criticized, wanna argue down anyone who criticizes another Black man and believe in their souls that if you make money, you must be smart and right. Ugh.

I’m not saying any economic system is perfect, but capitalism was designed to create a system of haves and have nots. What’s worse is that we now have crony capitalism, which (to quote Naomi Klein) privatizes their games and socializes their losses (see the Wall Street bailout of ‘09).

Agreed, which is why I don’t like this move by Jay-Z. However, Kaepernick is still on the outside of the NFL, but apparently not opposed to getting back in, despite having options to move on. Yes, he wanted to be an NFL quarterback, but how many times does this league have to show him who they are before he believes

I agree Reid and Kaepernick’s situations aren’t the same as Jay-Z, but all three have expressed desires to gain from the system (in this case the NFL) we both agree exploits Black people. Just because Jay-Z’s transgression is on a higher level, doesn’t excuse Reid or Kaepernick for wanting to be a part of it.
