The new Hilux seems like the car equivalent of a pug - aka a dog bred to look like it’s had it’s face bashed in with a shovel... and somehow still ends up looking cute? (no offense to the pug lovers) Seriously though, did the Toyota design team just take the old Hilux and decide that pinching in it’s face was a good

I disagree. An opening price at an auction is generally an indicator for what the auction house believes it’s value to be (despite in this case, that price being far below the percieved market value). Setting a low initial price sets a dangerous precedent and has a chance greater chance of devaluing their product.

Do we know that Koenigsegg knew they were selling to a dictator’s son? I would assume not, given your point (which I think is valid) that this also devalues their brand. Certainly that point doesn’t make mine any less valid though - both items devalue their brand. I would argue that they need to act aggressively to

You can’t compare Ford to Koenigsegg in this regard. Koenigsegg only makes “special cars” and one potentially going for far below market value can damage/devalue their product and brand far more than Ford.

Koenigsegg is a small company producing very low volumes of cars. The issue here is that a below market price devalues their product and brand. The impact to them could be much more substantial then say for example - undervaluing a Lamborghini at auction.

Unless Uber itself releases comprehensive data, it’s all hearsay. Maybe you’ll find something on their quarterly reports that provides real data?

I’m not sure anyone said Thiel was a better person... I think it was implied that he was/is a better businessperson to run a company.

Elon is his own worst enemy. He’s a case study for smart, visionary CEOs that NEED to have an army of execs and handlers that can bring their ideas down to earth (no pun intended). It’s amazing to me that the Board(s), Investors & the Market have continued to let him run wild. It’s only a matter of time before we see

Finally someone expressing thoughts based on logic and a basic understanding of how this stuff works.

Uber had a net revenue of almost $11 billion in 2018 and is continuing to grow. Ford had a net revenue of $3+ billion in 2018 and was down over 50% from 2017. It doesn’t seem weird to me at all that the market values Uber higher than Ford.

You don’t need a college degree (bachelors, etc) to get a full time job and make good money in the US. A college degree is a check box that makes it easier to get a white collar job.

Choice is key here. Using your example: You were a freelance writer. I assume that this was by choice and/or you were doing so to fill a gap while finding a full-time job with all the benefits one would expect from such an arrangement. As a freelance writer, I would argue that your relationship between yourself and

There was an option for a brake controller on the Gladiator configurer for a period of time... I'm not sure why they removed it. I'll try to search my history and see if I can find a cached configuration page.

1. When can you start ordering them at dealerships? +1 for Price.

Assuming there’s a tow point in front, you could mount the plate off-center... but most front plates ruin the looks of any sports car. Alternatively, you could go for option C and run no plates at all (like many idiots in California).

At least they decided to make it slightly more interesting then the biggest meh car reveal of 2018 aka the BMW Z4. Never has such an uninteresting looking car been so over hyped.

Option C.
