it’s so strange to me that “the big 3d shift” was handled badly. Harvest moon absolutely nailed their first 3d outing in A Wonderful Life. Hell, even if you look at the Rune Factory series there’s Rune Factory Frontier. That game’s my absolute favourite Rune Factory game, and is just bursting with charm and

Bigger? No thanks. More detailed: Yes please!

idk man, mario galaxy 2 was announced and released in about a year. You don’t know how far along they are, and (as many people have said) they’re able to re-use a lot of pieces from the first BoTW.

At this point a Square Enix contract sounds like a deal with the devil:

I really like Mirror’s Edge’s brand of platforming because there’s not really anything like it.

Now playing

Linking this here, even though it’s probably been linked before - Frank Cifaldi (of the VGHF) talking about this sort of thing. VERY good talk

“The hell are people getting worked up over it”

Honestly? I can’t knock Yoshida here. It’s okay to be curious about NFT’s. He at least understands that you can’t just... put NFTs into a game. If you wanted to make a game with NFTs, you’d have to build the game around it. How would you build a compelling game about NFT’s? I dunno probably not possible because

what if master chief takes off his helmet and he has no dick??

To each their own. I really don’t like the HD-2D look. I think it’s usually garish, gimmicky, and distracting. I hate how weird and blocky everything looks. I really like how the pixel remasters look - it takes the original spritework, which looked beautiful on a CRT, and tries to simulate that. That, and the music is

Honestly Cyberpunk, for all its flaws, wasn’t a bad RPG. There were a lot of meaningful choices that you could make that’d alter the direction of the story. You could build your character in multiple different ways. There was a crapton of dialogue, relationships to build, lots deep lore, ect. It checks off most boxes

5'7? bro I could go to japan and be so tall... get mad laid....

It’s a shame that digital console shops will NEVER be a thing. Like, Steam could go down and it’d be inconvenient, but there’s still a lot of other ways to buy digital only pc games.

somewhere, Tim Rogers wakes in a cold sweat

for such a sexist idea, generlocked classes piss people off in a very egalitarian way

I hate to say this... I really do. I say this as somebody who dropped out of game design school because I thought (at the time) that it was too tedious. I say this as a dedicated online communist.... but ... sometimes deadlines and bosses are... effective.

I really don’t like the ps2/ps3 god of war games, but I really do like the 2018 god of war. So there’s that.

incredible, incredible game, but it’s mind boggling to me how such an expertly crafted game could throw the same boss at you over and over from start to finish. The entire game is a joy to play, but you’re honestly going to feel disbelief at how many times you fight those damn ogres. It feels like such a ps1/ps2 era

Look. Let’s go easy on him. I mean, who HASN’T secretly jacked off to hentai while on important work video calls. Right guys?

Honestly I’ve always really liked the space that Genshin Impact occupies. The media landscape is pretty hegemonic, with American (or American minded) movies basically dominating anything you see. I live in Canada, which has its own arts initiatives, but everyone kind of tacitly accepts that Canadian made media is
