I’m thinking they’ve been hit hard by the (somewhat recent) explosion of animation into mainstream western entertainment. Every big voice acting gig is now done by a celeb rather than proper voice actors. We saw this trend begin in the 2000s, but

xbox one is a console that I’d love to love. It had a lot of really neat features but the ps4 was when Sony really doubled down on having good exclusives. I guess it’s a valuable lesson that games are, indeed still, king.
This is the problem with bringing back G4. It was very much a product of its time. So is its audience.
honestly the twitch hot tub meta does bother me a little. I’m not bothered that they’re sexing themselves up to gain viewers, that’s been a thing since the beginning of entertainment- and me likea watcha the sexy girl.
“Please stop harassing me and my family”
I have a theory that sony makes these huge AAA exclusives to prop up the playstation brand more than anything. In that sense it would make sense that sales would hardly matter (obviously strong sales are great) compared to critic score. It’s a calculated expense so that they can point to something concrete and go…
NFT’s in the videogame space are insanely stupid. Like, regular NFT’s are stupid sure, but think of it in the context of a videogame:
I’ve often wondered if I could scam NFT guys by being like “Oh, yeah here I’ll sell you this NFT” and there’s not an actual token. Like, would they know? Well, I guess I got my answer.
You’re not wrong, but anybody who knows this will leave with a bad taste after reading the manga.
This is a little unfair because I’ve played three major games on pc this year and all of them are infamously buggy.
I recently bought a pc for gaming. I haven’t had a pc powerful enough to game on since like 2003. I thought “Surely, pc gaming has evolved since 2003, when everything was buggy and plagued with driver issues.”
ah man I really wanted to believe that galko-chan was made as a positive message to young girls dealing with things that nobody wanted to talk about. This... puts a whole different spin on things :/
I don’t like NFT’s in general, and imo (as somebody who studies this stuff) blockchain is a technology that is only really useful for very specific cases.
Okay, so I know this would be bad regardless and I’m TRYING really hard to not make this about videogames....
the ol’ fashion square enix tax strikes again.
he did it. he finally made me cry
I didn’t really think about it, but yeah I agree that Infinite’s audio/visual design is great. The last FPS I spent so much time in multiplayer was Quake 3. I’d try a lot of CoD and a lot of post-CoD shooters, but quickly get frustrated with them. I always felt like a chicken with its head cut off.
okay guys very happy that this game is being discovered by so many new people but let’s all be nice and log off for a month or two so there will be room for me on the server when I play endwalker thank you.
I hate that it created this race to the bottom that we have now, but look, videogame culture might be bad now but it’s 100 times better than it used to be.
Also true.
