I can’t hate keighley because of all he’s done to bring the medium into the mainstream... But he accomplished that mostly through corporate sponsorship and partnership. He can’t go any further, and that’s why the game awards are not the “oscars of videogames” (even though they so desperately want to be).

honestly this ... doesn’t really bother me. Most halo games had customization that amounts to the free stuff in this game (actually, even less). I put my blue armor on because that’s my fps multiplayer colour. I’m just stoked to get a fully featured high quality multiplayer arena shooter game for free. If that gets

I gotta say, this whole situation has been very illuminating. I’ve always had this fantasy of an MMO where everything was driven by players - like the game design would force you to actually interact with other people. I always felt like it’d become so much more interesting if you remove a lot of the bots and “gamey”

Hell, you can go even further back than that and look at Unreal Tournament and Quake 3, both of which defined the genre for quite some time. I think maybe it comes in phases

I am eagerly awaiting a Mario 64 esque hd, moddable, native widescreen PC port!

I’m not sure how it was at launch. I just bought and beat it this month - I had a very nice time! I encountered maybe one or two major bugs and played it for almost 50 hours - worth pointing out that I usually loath western rpgs (witcher 3 included) so that’s a big deal for me.

this is pretty much how I feel. Like, cosmetics would be nice but (maybe a hot take?) I never really liked the way big bulky halo armor looked. It all looks dumb to me, gimmie an anime girl. Halo Infinite’s multiplayer feels like I’m 15 and playing Halo 3 again. It all works so well and feels (somehow) so fresh. The

Entrenched culture is a powerful force and powerful people rise to a place where they’re immune to HR. I’m not saying that’s right, but the HR training clearly isn’t working as intended. I’m just explaining how this happens and how you yourself could unwittingly be a part of it.

Oh, I wasn’t talking about specific people. I’m talking about the men who were on the sidelines and just kinda coasting. If you’re DOING anything that’s awful. What’s worse is that it’s very easy to let this sort of thing continue while not being aware.

I mean, we ARE talking about Souls here. If you like them it’s because they’re about as videogame as videogames get. If you hate them it’s because they’re about as videogame as videogames get. Both are completely reasonable positions.

The people at From Software are great at level design, and souls games tend to have excellent level design for their gameplay. Here’s hoping somebody will inject some (much needed!) level design into the genre. Only two or three games come to mind that are open world but also had interesting level design - I get it.

The signature thing makes me do some serious self reflection. It’s sad to think about. Like, that’s the kind of thing I (a guy) might joke about with some of my close friends (who are guys). It’s something crude but ultimately harmless with a certain group.

the most halo multiplayer I ever played was the halo 1 demo on pc. I’ve played a decent amount of halo otherwise, but tbh that was the most fun I ever had with halo’s multiplayer. Very excited to try this out.

with the rain, absolutely not. It’s a completely redone effect - you can see how it doesn’t even properly render on top of water. Perhaps other stuff, but I wouldn’t give rockstar the benefit of the doubt in this case.

lol

I wonder if she was put in charge as a sacrificial lamb- often something that big companies do (specifically with women and POC for some reason that I don’t understand) when they’re in a lot of trouble. If so, then good on her for getting out in front of it.

I mean, numerically it is the most popular game. It really speaks a sad truth about how the western market is not nearly as important as we’d think.

not to discount the genocide that the chinese government is doing, but it’s really remarkable to see such powerful anti china sentiment and then see apologia when the western world does the same shit. Our news media is thick with anti chinese propaganda. Don’t let yourself get too caught up in thinking of china as an

conservatives: it is literally a sin that people are relaxing at home when they could be working service jobs where I scream at them

To people who are pro-modding: don’t worry about this.
