It’s interesting because the way Barlog describes it, there were a ton of promises made at E3 that were “still being figured out”. Depending on how “figured out” they were, there seems to be a lot that could have gone wrong with those promises. It’s neat how fine of a line there is between a giant AAA triumph like

I dunno about Bleed 2, but I was a huge fan of 1. I always thought it was Megaman-esque level design but with a twin-stick shooter control scheme and air-dashing. It’s a unique combo that I really enjoyed.

as far as I know, this is actually not uncommon. Ideally it shouldn’t be a problem because everything important about the engine should already be conceptually designed beforehand. (lol)

imagine spending your own money to buy a videogame that you don’t even care about just because a group of people don’t like it.

I wish a character creator for any videogame, much less a game advertising “the ultimate character creator” would allow me to make a fat character.

Honestly, I don’t think capcom was wrong on this one. The switch was a pretty big unknown prior to launch, and the wii u kind of shook everybody’s faith in nintendo consoles. It makes sense for capcom (at the time) to make their supercharged monster hunter on the most powerful consoles.

I gotta ask, the psp games went completely over my head. I get that if you can get into them, they play just fine but I couldn’t make heads or tails or how things worked. Is it at least a little more user friendly?

Is this satire?

I know it’s extremely childish, but mostly I’m just happy that the donation total was so great because it shows up all the whiny twitch manchildren complaining about sub-only mode

This article actually struck a chord with me. I don’t like anime fanservicy shows, but whenever I think of anime and feminism and how closely fanservice and anime have become entwined, I wonder if anime could EVER get rid of its sleeze.

Great sound design in this trailer!

“Infinity Ward looked at the world around them and made a game that tackled that world head on.”

This is true-ish, but it’s less straightforward than you make it out to be. There are factors such as how the OS interfaces with the actual computer hardware. The whole point of DirectX is that with Windows, the software developers no longer had direct access to the hardware like they did in DOS. DirectX in that sense

Yeah I’m in the same boat as you mostly (though I do like this uncharted more than others), but that review really doesn’t touch on any of that.... or anything at all. The only real way to know that the guy didn’t like the game is that he phrases everything in a negative connotation. He mostly just describes what the

The specific issues of the author though are that the controls, speed, weapons, ect aren’t enough like Quake 3. The only valid concern imo in this article is that the demon is overpowered. Which, I don’t really care about but I could see it being a legitamite issue for people.

I’m actually really glad that this game doesn’t play like a 90s arena shooter. If I wanted a 90s arena shooter, I’d play one. Those games are still around and have strong communities. I DO play them, in fact. I play Open Arena all the time. I play Quake Live too. It’s just as good as Quake 3 was when it came out. If

my big problem with Game of Thrones, and the reason I stopped watching, is actually the same reason that this scenario can exist without any real consequence. A lot of things happen in the show, which cause other things to happen, which cause other things to happen... but, without any kind of real purpose. Nothing

I just took a look at this script and was actually... very disappointed. I was actually shocked at just how bad it was. The people talked almost as unrealistically as they do in the game, there’s a host of unnecessary added in plot elements that are just cobbled together cliches, and there are conveniences that just

You know, that actually sounds like a pretty good scenario. People can criticize Koktau and rightfully so, but Gawker prime is way way worse than Kotaku and I feel like the attatchment is actually hurting Kotaku.

Okay some of these heros really are the brooding white guy cliche, and I’m the first person to complain about edgy antiheros. There’s a difference though, between someone with a realistic amount of conflict, and someone who is edgybrooding. This list doesn’t seem to understand the distinction. It makes the whole thing
