I think the big distinction between players here is how much you actually care about Link as a character. Personally, I do. I have childhood memories of Link, and so I’ve got preconceived notions of what he is and isn’t. That said, I’ve got much more important things in my life than Link’s gender. In an ideal world,

It really did seem like an earnest effort to try and increase trans awareness, but I do agree that it felt kind of archaic and awkward. It didn’t feel mean spirited to me, so much as just written by someone with more good intentions than tact and understanding.

I forget about this game most of the time, but whenever I see it, I’m reminded of just how much I love this game.

I’m not too concerned either way because I didn’t love Half Life 2 the way I loved Half Life 1. That said, everyone remember that Half Life 2 came out 8 years after 1. It’s so far been 11 years since 2, and who knows when (or if) they actually started working on it.

to be fair, 13 sure was

FF7 may not be as carrot-on-a-stick as 13, but it actually drags you along for quite a while before things open up. The entire first disc is constant forward motion with a lot of points where it’s flat out impossible to go backward. Once you finally do get the freedom to go anywhere, there’s a lot of places from the

It sounds more like a resource management issue. If square made this thing all at once, it could be another decade long development cycle. Final Fantasy 13 proved that they can’t handle that, and Final Fantasy 7 is a much bigger game than 13.

I’m not thrilled about the decision, but I am willing to cut Square Enix some slack here. FF7 is a big game. I feel like people take for granted just how big it is. Sure, the main story is only going to last a standard ~40hr jrpg runtime, but there’s a ton of other stuff to do in that game. There’s also a few little

Best case scenario: the game is three decent sized episodes long; each episode accounts for one disc’s worth of content.

Remember Mike: if women don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

No one knows how the vocals got leaked online

It’s a toss up between this and the ps2, but I think this might be the best game library ever. It’s definitely my favourite console

To be fair, the original Star Wars movies were just a collection of homages to older movies, for a generation who probably wouldn’t recognize them. George Lucas was making his own tribute to movies that he was really nerdy about, while subtly ripping off popular movies where needed. People treat the original trilogy

Don’t worry man, I’m not a huge fan of open world in general, but Fallout 3 is a special low point for me and the genre. I guess it’s hit or miss. I really tried to love that game. I really like the idea of the Fallout games. I really do.....

Doesn’t Pokemon explicately mention “the war” several times in a couple of the games? It’s been a bit since I played them, but don’t X and Y’s plot involves superweapons created during the war?

Feels more to me like they’re testing the waters. Maybe I’m paranoid, but an excuse like this is just forgivable and convenient enough to test out the viability of the oft talked about multiplayer-only Call of Duty. Activision wants to go Quake 3 on us.

Had some throaty chortles. Next do a review of sex as if you’re a 90s videogame magazine from the UK!

What impresses me most about this is how faithfully Nintendo recreated the little quirks of Mario World that make this possible. It seems like almost every trick of Mario World is here, except the spin jump glitch

That Sonic sprite finally provided me with the material I need.

To be fair, in Final Fantasy 6, 8, and 9, Cid doesn’t play the role of airship pilot. (you could maybe argue that he doesn’t in 5, but he’s tied to the airship pretty strongly). It’s not set in stone.
