I know it's not easy going with a dog with long hair. I have one myself. The Portuguese Water Dog cut is where they essentially shave off the hair from the bottom half of his body and leave a tuft at the end of his tail and around his ankles. It looks stupid and serves no real purpose if he's just a house pet.
