It could go either way. It's possible that Aunt Paulette was truly enamoured with Cosby, though he'd take her away with him, and made sure her entire family knew how close to famous she'd been before losing that chance. It doesn't have to be an objectively significant scenario, just significant to her.

Lol, that first guy has no dick.

At least, that what those kinds of poses always look like they're trying to convey to me. Never understood the appeal of them.

I can explain that.

Because it's much harder to get a complete ban on abortions passed than it is to get a ban against all abortions except the rape cases. So they take what they can get.

There, I just explained it.

One of my best friends would jump ALL OVER that guy.

I dig the overall argument (at least with a side of "You can take the job or not, your choice"), but Hollywood is the very last place to argue about what a fair wage is. Every actor, every role, every movie gets paid a different amount. Case in point:

Marvel Studios wants to make Iron Man. They cast Terrence Howard as

I bet it's because they aren't sorry.

Kinda sounds like you're saying, "I think I'm uglier than her, so she's not allowed to think she's ugly."

Everybody has an opinion about how women should try to improve their marriages, but little to no advice is given to men because of course men are never responsible for their marriages failing and they can never do wrong in a relationship.

I wonder if she was acting badly on purpose to see if that stopped the guys. Talk about adding insult to injury.

Man, the comments on this article have been so heartening to read. Thank you, all you sane people.

Honestly, though, I did expect (and hope for) someone coming on here to say a man could just have a sex change if he wanted to be forever free of the threat of prison. Almost sounds like an SNL sketch.

Zerokei didn't. I just decided to respond to the idea of justifying piracy in the same comment that responded to his concerns.

You weren't. I wasn't jumping off your comment in saying that, but on the comments of many others I've seen for years about services like uPlay.

So what I'm hearing is: uPlay, Origin, et al do not provide you with the cool things that Steam provides (enormous library, connecting with just about every other PC gamer) and they help enforce DRM.

That, to me, warrants mild annoyance. It isn't close to "warranting" piracy. And to say otherwise is childish.

What is so awful about uPlay?

Agreed. I'll never understand why we celebrate quitting jobs. Not like it's hard to do, and not like anyone's forcing you to work anywhere. What she did was just childish.

All of the run-out-of ideas, this is the run-out-of-ideasiest.

I do worry that the guys who would say this are the guys some woman might call or see right after being raped, and it really doesn't sound like they're mentally equipped to deal with that well. Other than that, I agree with you: there's no law against being an a-hole. I don't really anything to be disgusted about here.

Yeah, fuck this newspaper for letting their staffer who is female leave. They totally suck now that she has made that decision and will continue to suck right up until another woman is hired to a masthead position. And if that woman takes vacation days or gets sick, there will be intermittent periods of suckiness.

Can we just talk about how Krang could have made his robot look like anything, ANYTHING, and decided to go with "Fat, balding white dude with no clothes"?

80's cartoons were glorious.

What don't you like about them?
